IVE Gaeul Relationship Status 2023: Idol Embroiled in Dating Rumor With THE BOYZ Hyunjae
Just a little over a year since IVE Gaeul debuted, she was quickly embroiled in a dating rumor with THE BOYZ Hyunjae after K-pop fans noticed THIS.
IVE Gaeul Dating in 2023? Reason 'After LIKE' Singer Was Linked To THE BOYZ Hyunjae
IVE Gaeul, a 02-born idol, was introduced as a member of IVE in December 2021. Following her debut, the idol immediately captured attention for her beauty and skills. She gained more popularity for her killing parts in "After LIKE."
But just a little over a year since she became an idol, Gaeul was embroiled in a dating rumor after internet users speculated she was dating THE BOYZ Hyunjae for the following reason.
In particular, the male idol, a 97-liner who debuted in 2017, became a hot topic in online communities after screenshots of his Bubble messages were leaked.
This was when the dating rumor started, as fans recognized that Hyunjae has been using the word, "가을" (ga-eul; autumn) often, which is the same as the IVE member's name.
A fan particularly asked Hyunjae which is his favorite season and he replied:
"I like 'Gaeul' (autumn) the most."
Realizing that he was seemingly confessing to a person named Gaeul, Hyunjae added:
"I wished there was a Deobi (fandom name) named Gaeul."
The idol's messages can be easily brushed off as a usual fanservice. However, it blew up after people realized that these messages were sent by Hyunjae during IVE Gaeul's birthday in September.
Nevertheless, the rumor just ended with nothing much damage to both idols after fans initiated that the bubble messages were taken out of context and there were even no interactions from both idols.
DIVEs (IVE fandom) also defended Gaeul, emphasizing that she doesn't have time to date due to their busy schedules since the group rose to popularity with three consecutive hits, "ELEVEN, "Love Dive" and "After LIKE."
However, it is not impossible if IVE Gaeul would want to date someone since Starship Entertainment doesn't have strict dating rules like how "BIG 3" agencies and other entertainment companies work.
Apparently, THE BOYZ Hyunjae had a 3-year dating ban but it was lifted in 2020, making it possible for him to date without being restricted by the company Cre.ker as well.
Meanwhile in 2023, IVE Gaeul doesn't have any confirmed public relationship, aside from a dating rumor.

Despite dating rumors, Gaeul has been showing passion for her career and love for DIVEs, more than building romantic relationships. In her interview last year, the star said:
"Thankful and surprised hearts coexist. Now, beyond surprise, I think about how I can develop and repay you in the future."
After winning a grand prize in December from various music awards ceremonies, Gaeul also expressed her being committed to her career and said:
"I never thought I would win the grand prize in the first year of my debut. Immediately after receiving the award, the members thanked each other, and we knew the weight of the award and vowed to work harder," expressing her ambition for future activities with a humble attitude.
