Kim Chaewon, the leader of LE SSERAFIM, is reportedly dating a rapper.
On January 18, a large Japanese weekly magazine called Bunshun hinted at the revelation of a "world-class" idol's dating life at noon (local time).
In Japan, Bunshun is notorious for exposing the private lives of Japanese artists as well as government officials. It was founded in 1959 and is the largest weekly magazine in the country, selling 570,000 copies.

Due to this, the expectation is high of who will be the main character but everyone was surprised to know that it is none other than Kim Chaewon!
According to the media, the "ANTIFRAGILE" singer was seeing a handsome rapper A, and shared seven photos through a paid internet site.

However, the "evidence" was considered a "disgrace" to the Japanese media as all of the released photos were obviously photoshopped.
In fact, one of the said pieces of evidence was a cropped photo of Chaewon when she had a selfie with Sakura, her co-member. The photo was inverted and attached with the rapper's face.
In other photos, Chaewon was seen sitting and smiling together with the guy, with romantic messages. However, it was noticeable that the photos were heavily edited by using cropping and layering tools, and color grading was also done to match the overall look of the two different photos combined in one.

As a response, the rapper through a direct message clarified the rumor, stating:
"It's really not true (dating rumor). (The photos) were all photoshopped. Yes, it's because I'm a fan. I can't contact you because I'm in Japan (media). Please send a message."
The said guy was also shocked about the report and sternly drew the line that he's not dating LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon.
It turned out that the said rapper photoshopped the photos himself just like what a fan would do to their idols; however, these were taken seriously by the Japanese media.

Following the man's statement in the photo that it was "synthetic," the agency also denied rumors of a romantic relationship by releasing a brief statement.

When the rumor circulated online, netizens responded by saying:

- "Why did you believe in reporting the romance rumor?"
- "It was funny that the Japanese media announced that they were reporting the romance rumor of K-pop stars, but the evidence was photoshopped."
