TXT Beomgyu Discusses Group Chemistry, Love For KARA
On January 23, Esquire Korea released two parts of their interview. In the first part, the group was interviewed regarding their future music releases, which gathered the members' thoughts individually.
The interviewer mentioned member Beomgyu's talent in variety shows, leading the idol to express his interest on "2 Days 1 Night."
Beomgyu also added that he was drawn to it, due to the cast's interaction and unbreakable harmony. He also related that aspect on TXT as a group, pertaining to their group chemistry.
Amazed by TXT's chemistry, the interviewer then asked Beomgyu how they came up with such natural understanding. Beomgyu shared that it wasn't like that from the start since they're all separate individuals with opinions. However, they came to know each other over time.
"Naturally, it wasn't the case from the start. They have a lot of opinions and strong personalities because they came here to become famous. So, at first, we didn't really get along."
"We fought a lot, but over a lengthy period, we have gradually come to understand one another. That assisted our group in finally reaching a compromise. After all, you can get along even if you spend the next 365 days together in this manner."
Meanwhile, TXT leader Soobin shared his thoughts about KARA, leadership, and TXT's next big goal.
He explained that he admired KARA in an early age, and seeing their reunion at the MAMA performance made him emotional.
Soobin stated that he also admired BTS RM's depth in leadership, while assuring the interviewer that he's someone that members can rely on.
"I honestly don't believe I'm that ideal leader who is solid, determined, and has everything planned out in their head. I respect BTS's RM, since he really is like that. He has extraordinarily wide-ranging opinions. He is firmly committed to his unique preferences and course of action.
"I don't think I'll develop into that kind of leader. Instead, I can assure everyone that I'm a comfortable person. I at least believe that I'm someone my members can open to."
Daesang Winners: TXT Soobin Shares Group's Next Goal
Regarding TXT's next goal as a group, Soobin humbly imparted that their next aim is to receive a Daesang. Soobin also expressed TXT's hard work, and how the members' ambitions grew over time.
"I know this can come off as too ambitious, but winning a Daesang is our next goal. Honestly if I was asked, I'd answer 'good health' or 'contentment' right away, but I've been seeing my members work so hard."
"Last year, their ambitions developed with motivation. From there, we assured 'Hey, let's win a Daesang this time, and become idols who can follow BTS.'"
TXT Huening Kai Teases Upcoming Album 'The Name: TEMPTATION'
Huening Kai teased their upcoming comeback, stating that the content will contain strong fairytale vibes. He also detailed the trailer's narration, exploring themes of Peter Pan.
"This entire album, which features concept films, teasers, and trailers, has a strong fairytale vibe. Wendy, the fairy from Peter Pan, provides the narration in the trailer. If the last series focused on the development and suffering of a boy, this one is about a boy who doesn't want to grow up to be an adult."
Furthermore, Huening Kai shared about how much he has changed since his trainee days. He expressed that he's grown in height, and his eagerness on performing has grown.
Huening Kai also elaborated how happy he is seeing his younger sister Huening Bahiyyih, who is a member of Kep1er. The idol also added he always cheers her on.
Aside from their group music, TXT Taehyun revealed that his 2023 goal is to make his own music.
Taehyun elaborated there are certain styles that aren't expressed in their production.
Moreover, he stated that finding a way to maintain his own music color while syncing it with the group is an essential part of expression.
"I want to present my music to fans, since I've made a good deal of music. There are times where my thirst for music wasn't quenched during music production."
"I'm working to find a way to exhibit my voice without detracting from TXT's image because, of course, rashly showcasing a genre or concept that matches too well with our team color would be unacceptable."
TXT Yeonjun was interviewed regarding his nickname, "BIGHIT's Legendary Trainee."
The idol revealed that while it may feel good, that wasn't the case sometimes, since it put a lot of pressure on him as a trainee. However, the nickname also motivated him to do what he loves whole-heartedly.
Yeonjun also revealed on his interest in acting, but chose to currently focus on music.
"I was interested in acting. I even tried cameos for that reason, but acting is challenging. So, I made the decision that it will be wiser to put more effort into my primary work, before considering acting. Honestly, performing and music are my main jobs in my areas of interest."
