Shinhwa Ticket Sales Cause Server Crash, Thousands Of Very Upset Fans

Legendary idols Shinhwa continue to prove their status as K-Pop royalty.

On June 12 tickets went on sale for Shinhwa's concert in Seoul to be held on August 3 and 4 at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Hall.

Unfortunately for thousands of fans, with so many people trying to access the ticketing site Interpark, the servers were overloaded and crashed just seven minutes after opening up sales.

According to the Shinhwa Company, tickets for the 2013 Shinhwa Grand Finale: The Classic in Seoul went on sale at 8pm KST and by 8:05pm, 27,000 seats were sold out.

Shortly after, the site crashed and thousands of ticketless fans continued to over-burden the website throughout the night tying to score what remained of the available seats.

This is the second time this year the veteran idols have done this.

In February, when tickets went on sale for the group's 15th anniversary concert, The Legend Continues, all 25,000 seats were gone within five minutes.

Despite Interpark's best efforts, their servers were overloaded by the nearly 300,000 fans trying to access the website at the same time, and it crashed over and over again until all the seats were finally gone.

The finale for Shinhwa's current tour promises to be the biggest and best to date. The group has promised a bigger stage and different set up which will allow the members to get even closer to their fans in the audience.

They will also perform several songs from their latest album The Classic that have yet to be staged in Korea.
