The most popular stars from December 29, 2022 to January 29, 2023 has been revealed by the Korean Business Research Institute. On the rankings, the organization also included numerous female K-pop artists.

These are the 6 most popular female K-pop artists for January 2023!

1. NewJeans

NewJeans conquers the top 1 of the most popular female K-pop artist on the list. The rookie monster group dominated the rankings with a brand reputation index of 8,917,773. Their current sum indicated a 32.59 increase, surpassing their previous score in December.

With NewJeans having released their latest comeback "OMG," the group has gained attention for their music and choreography. In 2022, NewJeans has also made headlines during their debut era, especially when the hit song "Hype Boy" went viral.

The group's popularity is understandable due to their recognition within K-pop's casual listeners. They have also spawned an abundant amount of dance covers from their songs.

2. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK garnered a brand reputation index of 6,913,166, earning the 4th spot of the Research Institute's list. The results were plausible due to BLACKPINK's exposure in their "BORN PINK" World Tour, where the girls ventured on international waters.

Additionally, BLACKPINK was also announced to headline Coachella 2023, leading fans to rave over the "Kill This Love" hitmakers.

3. IU

For January 2023, IU earned the fourth place with a brand reputation index of 6,657,078. In the ranking released from December 21, 2022 to January 21, 2023, IU had a score of 5,867,068. The "Through The Night" singer has surpassed her previous score in the current list.

Her popularity also surged for winning several awards in Melon Music Awards 2022, including "Stage of the Year," "Melon Top 10 Artists" Bonsang, and "Best Solo" for Female category.

4. Younha

Younha managed to gather a brand reputation index of 4,159, 262. This current index is an improvement of her previous score, which collected a total of 1,763,863. Thanks to her hit single "Event Horizon," and artistry, the singer remains strong in the list.

5. IVE

With a brand reputation index of 3,731,700, IVE earned their place at No. 17 on the institute's official list. IVE went viral for being the third fastest girl group to win a daesang, following Miss A and 2NE1. Since 2023 is just starting, the girl group is expected to release more content and achieve higher in their fresh career.

6. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE received a brand reputation index of 3,653,247. With the girl group's recognizable vibe, (G)I-DLE maintains their strong position in the list with their music, and group chemistry.
