TXT's 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' Charts On Billboard 200's Top 3 For 2 Consecutive Weeks

TXT's 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' Reaches 2 Consecutive Weeks In Billboard 200's Top 3

On February 12, Billboard announced that TXT latest album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" has maintained its position in Billboard 200's Top 3, earning its second week.

In the week's closing on February 18, the album remained immovable at No. 3, when it collected 48,000 equivalent album units for its second week. The results gathered are according to Luminate. TXT has now joined BTS as the second K-pop artist to have an album chart for two weeks in Billboard 200's Top 3.

Following BTS's songs "Map of the Soul: Persona," "Map of the Soul: 7," and "BE," TXT's "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" managed to be the fourth K-pop album to be included in the list.

Initially, "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" secured Billboard 200's No. 1 spot on February 5, according to Billboard. The album also accomplished the biggest sales week in the U.S.

According to the data gathered by Luminate, the album also gained 161,500 equivalent units on its week ending (February 2). "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" amassed a total score of 152,000 traditional album sales, and 9,000 streaming equivalent album units as well.

The boy group also achieved 13.24 million audio streams with the album, and 500 track equivalent album units in its first week of release.

TXT joins BTS, BLACPINK, SuperM, and Stray Kids as the fifth K-pop act to top Billboard 200. The boy group also made headlines on other charts such as Hanteo and Oricon.

TXT Dubbed As The "Next BTS" & K-pop Generation Representative by Korean Media Outlet

On May 12, 2021, TXT became the focal point of Star News' "FOCUS," where it tackled TXT's achievements and the process which gained them their entry to prominence. They were also dubbed as the "next BTS" and one of the best K-pop groups in the 4th generation.

Since their 2019 debut, TXT has already earned the titles of "BTS's younger brothers" and "newcomer from Big Hit." With that said, all eyes were on them since BTS has now become the most sensational K-pop boy group today, leading to high expectations for TXT.

During their years of releasing bop after bop, TXT caught many fans' attention, leading them to become the next biggest K-pop boy group.

On March 19, 2021, People magazine also listed TXT as one of the "Emerging Artists in 2021," alongside girl group aespa. The magazine began by stating, "We're Still Dreaming about this next group," which refers to TXT's Japanese album "Still Dreaming."

The magazine then introduced all five members: Soobin, Taehyun, Beomgyu, Yeonjun, Huening Kai. Afterwards, they shared that TXT's EP "minisode1: Blur Hour" made its entry on Billboard 200's No. 25, and Billboard World Album charts on No. 1.
