TXT Secures First-Ever Music Show Win on Program 'Inkigayo' With 'Sugar Rush Ride'
On February 13, TXT competed in SBS's "Inkigayo" with their hit "Sugar Rush Ride," which comes from "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION," their best-selling album yet.
TXT has delivered win after win with "Sugar Rush Ride," starting on "M Countdown" on February 2, and their second win was on "Music Bank" on February 3. Additionally, they achieved their third win again on "M Countdown" on February 9.
With this latest achievement, "Sugar Rush Ride" has now earned its fourth victory, and indicates TXT's first "Inkigayo" win in their career. TXT also competed with monster rookie NewJeans. Their song "Sugar Rush Ride" clashed with NewJeans' "OMG" and "Ditto."
Since there's a notion of girl groups performing better digitally, TXT has broke the perception with their win. TXT's success in "Inkigayo" is also considered amazing because of how hard it is for boy groups to snatch No. 1, due to the exclusion of broadcast points. However, TXT accomplished this feat because of their high digital score.
It's also the first time that a K-pop boy group has placed on the top spot since July 2022. The last male act to achieve No. 1 on "Inkigayo" was SEVENTEEN, when they bagged the trophy for their single "_WORLD."

Afterwards, girl groups dominated No. 1 on "Inkigayo," with rising group NewJeans, the sophisticated (G)I-DLE, and sensation BLACKPINK making consecutive waves on the music industry. Aside from the aforementioned girl groups, many others also made their mark on "Inkigayo."
