On February 23, Billboard released an interview segment of TWICE, where they gained the group's thoughts about making an impact worldwide, as well as their achievements.

TWICE Chaeyoung then mentioned her idols, who inspired her to becoming one of the most renowned artists today in K-pop. Chaeyoung stated she was inspired by their senior group, Wonder Girls, who made the first major attempt to break into U.S. territory.

Ever since Wonder Girls released "Tell Me," the song propelled their recognition across Korea and locally. As if that wasn't enough, they soon released "So Hot," and their breakthrough song "Nobody," which became their spear across international areas.

What Is TWICE's 'Driving Force' As Group? Here's What We Know

On the interview, TWICE also shared what drives them to go beyond. Ultimately, TWICE Dahyun revealed their fandom, ONCEs, is the main reason they keep on going. She expressed her excitement on meeting fans this 2023, in both local areas and international.

TWICE's leader Jihyo also shared her thoughts about their upcoming U.S endeavors, since the group will be breaking out on bigger stadiums. One aspect called out is that of language barrier.

Initially, TWICE cemented their popularity across Asian countries, especially Japan, with their music and promotions. As time passed, JYP Entertainment tested the waters with their first ever international world tour, "TWICELIGHTS," which included stops in North America.

Jihyo replied that language is not that relevant when it comes to expressing TWICE's music and identity. Chaeyoung also added that inside their music production, members' characteristics are already infused in their songs, leading them to express freely despite language barriers.

"We are especially looking forward to this year since we have so many opportunities to meet our fans both domestically and internationally. They are the reason for our existence as musicians."

"I don't think the language is that relevant in carrying TWICE's identity. I think it's our songs that carry TWICE's color rather than the language the song is sung in."

"The songwriters already know each of our personalities, and they portray our personalities well. I think that really establishes our style, which is why it translates into many languages and goes deep beyond it."
