Peak Time Episode 4 Recap: Groups Conclude Rival Match With Cover Performances + Current Rankings Revealed

JTBC's "Peak Time" has released its fourth episode, engaging groups with the remaining performances. Additionally, the current rankings have been revealed.

Peak Time Episode 4: Groups Continue Intense Rivalry With Amazing Cover Performances

Episode 4 picked off on Episode 3's events, continuing the rival round with the groups clashing with their impressive cover performances.

On March 1, the first round for "Peak Time" was officially concluded. The rival match focused on pairs of teams, who collided on stage and performed the same concept. Additionally, the victor of each match will receive double global votes.

In Episode 3, the first 10 teams battled in five matches. Here are the six remaining teams who stormed the program, covering various songs from popular K-pop artists.

Team 9:00 (BLITZERS) - "ON" by BTS

 

Team 8:00 (DKB) vs. Team 2:00 (NTX) - Girl Group

Team 8:00 (DKB) - "Bang!" by After School

 

Team 2:00 (NTX) - "The Boys" by SNSD

 

Rivalry Round Winners:

Emotional Concept: Team 15:00 (BLK)

Synchronized Choreography: Team 5:00 (ATBO)

Girl Group: Team 8:00 (DKB)

Following the conclusion of Round 1, the competitors advanced to the following phase, which included a collaborative contest.

The next round divided the 16 teams into four teams each. Each partnership was separated into vocal, rap, and dance groups. It was also limited with six members for each vocal unit, and five members for the rap section. The dance units weren't limited in terms of members.

For the first alliance, Team 9:00 (BLITZERS) was selected as the leader for "A," recruiting Team 2:00 (NTX), Team 18:00 (BDC), and Team 5:00 (ATBO) alongside them.

The second alliance "B" bestowed Team 20:00 (M.O.N.T.) as the head, together with Team 8:00 (DKB), Team 14:00 (GHOST9), and 23:00 (DGNA).

For alliance "C," it consists of Team 11:00 (VANNER) and Teams 13:00 (BAE173), 15:00 (BLK), and 24:00 (soloists). This led to form alliance "D," comprising of Teams 7:00 (MASC), 21:00 (24K), 4:00 (BXB), and 1:00 (DIGNITY).

Though the teams were settled, a surprising turn of events followed. Unexpectedly, Team 11:00 (VANNER), which had won the contestants' personal Round 1 vote, was offered the chance to switch one pair of teams around. Team 11:00 switched places with Teams 14:00 (GHOST9) and 21:00 (24K) to cleverly weaken their opposing alliances.

Episode 4 also unveiled the current global vote rankings. The voting will conclude on March 16, 12:30 a.m. KST. On February 25, 5 p.m. KST, these current rankings were revealed:
