BTS J-Hope's 'on the street' Debuts At Billboard Hot 100, Becomes Idol's Highest Charting Song

On March 14, Billboard announced that J-Hope's collab single with singer J. Cole, "on the street," has now entered the Billboard Hot 100

In the chart, the song made its way on No. 60, making his fourth entry on the chart. Notably, J-Hope joins his group BTS (26 songs), BLACKPINK (9 songs), and PSY (5 songs) to chart multiple releases in Hot 100. He is also the first artist affiliated to a group, to achieve this accomplishment.

This isn't the first time J-Hope had made his dip on the Billboard Hot 100. In October 7, 2019, J-Hope and Becky G's "Chicken Noodle Soup" debuted on Hot 100 at No. 81, for the week ending on October 12, 2019.

From September 28 to October 4, 2019, "Chicken Noodle Soup" gained 11,000 downloads, as well as 9.7 million stream in the United States, the world's largest music market. With "Chicken Noodle Soup," J-Hope has also become the first BTS solo member to arrive in Hot 100.

On July 12, 2022, J-Hope's pre-release single "MORE" landed on Billboard Hot 100, despite its album "Jack In The Box" not being released yet. The song made its place on No. 82, marking J-Hope's second entry on the chart and proving how much ARMYs love the track.

BTS J-Hope Withdraws Military Service Postponement, ARMYs Demand Idol's Album From BIGHIT MUSIC

On February 26, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that J-Hope will be making his solo release, as well as cancel his postponement of military service.

The military service announcement was uploaded on Weverse, revealing that J-Hope has now initiated the first steps of his enlistment process by cancelling its delay. Afterwards, the agency unveiled J-Hope's plans to release a single called, "on the street."

While ARMYs were mostly happy with J-Hope's single, some demanded BIGHIT MUSIC to give the idol a "real album," explaining further that J-Hope deserves one before his enlistment.

Since J-Hope hasn't got a physical album yet despite the success of "Jack In The Box" (which was only released digitally), fans insisted it's not too late to give him one.

See their divided reactions below:

"Why does Hobi only get to release a digital single before enlisting in the military?"

"J-Hope Comeback! On the Street is coming!

"So proud of you, J-Hope!"
