TWICE Becomes First Girl Group To Sell Out SoFi Stadium In California

TWICE has now made another amazing milestone on their career!

After the ticket pre-sales were opened on March 22, the tickets for TWICE's "READY TO BE" SoFi Stadium concert for June 10 were immediately sold out.

This accomplishment led TWICE to officially become the first girl group in history to sell out the venue, and the second K-pop artist to pull off the act, following group BTS.

Apart from their SoFi Stadium concert, TWICE has also sold out the pre-sale tickets on its first day of opening, which covered several North American and Australian shows.

What makes this feat impressive is that TWICE had already sold out pre-sale tickets before the general sales opened publicly.

Following this fast sellout, TWICE placed in additional stops for six different cities, due to high demand. In Australia, the additional stops the group added will be held on Sydney at May 2 and 3. This will be trailed by Melbourne on May 6 and 7.

As for their North America stops, TWICE added a total of four additional shows to compensate for the rapid sellout. It included Oakland on June 12, Houston on June 25, Chicago on June 29, and Toronto on July 3.

In March 31, 2022, TWICE has also become the second K-pop artist to hold a stadium concert, following BTS. With their previous 'III' world tour, the girl group sold out the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

This achievement is just a starting point for TWICE, who just demonstrated their influence across the world. It also shows how far the "SET ME FREE" singers have come on their career.

Congratulations to TWICE!

TWICE's Achievements With Albums 'READY TO BE,' 'BETWEEN 1&2'

In other news, TWICE also broke their own personal record in pre-order sales. On March 8, JYP Entertainment announced that album "READY TO BE" had reached past 1.7 million stock pre-orders, as of March 7.

Afterwards, "READY TO BE" has now trailed the group's previous comeback "BETWEEN 1&2." It has also followed BLACKPINK albums "THE ALBUM," "BORN PINK," and aespa's "Girls."

Meanwhile, their 11th mini album "BETWEEN 1&2" also made headlines. On September 1, 2022, the album sold out a total of 532,622 copies in Hanteo Chart on its first week of release, which covered August 26 to September 1, 2022.

This broke the group's record of 332,416 copies with their 2020 album "MORE&MORE."

The album also became popular in international music charts. On September 4, Billboard declared that "BETWEEN 1&2" had debuted on No. 3 on its Top 200 Albums chart.
