TWICE, NCT 127, BTS, More Top Billboard's World Albums Chart

Billboard finally released their World Albums chart rankings, covering the week ending on March 25. The chart is filled with star-studded groups, who managed to land on the list.

Billboard Announces World Albums Chart: TWICE, BTS, NCT 127, More Take Top Spots

Billboard took off the veil on its World Albums rankings, which were dominated by best-selling K-pop groups who released chart-topping albums.

World Albums covered the week ending on March 25. The first K-pop group in the list was TWICE, who released their 12th mini album "READY TO BE."

Notably, the album reached a historic milestone by attaining the highest U.S. sales week of any K-pop girl group album ever. The album achieved the No. 1 spot on the list.

"READY TO BE" also claimed the first place on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, Tastemaker Albums chart, and Top Current Albums chart.

Apart from their current release, their previous album "BETWEEN 1&2" maintained its hold on the chart at No. 12. It has also spent 25 weeks on the World Albums chart.

Following TWICE, TXT's album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" marked its seventh consecutive week on the World Albums chart, placing at No. 2.

Apart from World Albums, it also rose to No. 52 in the Billboard 200. This led TXT to become the second K-pop artist ever to chart an album for seven weeks in Billboard 200's top 60.

NCT 127 trailed TXT with their repackaged album "Ay-Yo" at No. 3. The album also spent its second consecutive week on Billboard 200.

On the fifth spot, BTS claimed No. 5 with their anthology album "Proof" which marked its 40th consecutive week on World Albums chart.

Meanwhile, BTS's 2020 album "Map of the Soul: 7" grabbed its No. 8 spot, scoring its 130th week. RM took No. 13 for its 15th week with his solo album "Indigo."

Stray Kids took over the seventh spot with "MAXIDENT," which spent its 20th consecutive week on the World Albums chart. NewJeans secured No. 10 with their debut extended play "New Jeans," marking its 23rd week.

Lastly, BLACKPINK's 2020 album "THE ALBUM" landed again at No. 15. The release has now spent its 103rd (non-consecutive) week on the chart.

BTS Sweeps Top 5 of Billboard's World Albums Chart, BLACKPINK Makes Appearance

In other news, BTS has also topped five spots on the World Albums chart. On March 17, 2021, Billboard uploaded the weekly ranks for its World Albums chart.

On the week ending on March 15, 2021, BTS reigned over the top five, occupying four spots in the list. The group claimed the places with "BE" at No. 1, " "Map of the Soul: 7" at No. 2, "Love Yourself: Tear" at No. 4, and "Love Yourself: Her" at No. 5.

On the chart's third place, BLACKPINK earned the No. 3 spot with their first full-length studio album, "THE ALBUM."
