EXO Sehun Conveys Frustration Over False Pre-Marital Pregnancy Rumor

On March 28, EXO Sehun who was embroiled in a rumor that he impregnated a non-celebrity girlfriend before marriage, personally addressed the issue through his Instagram.

He said:

"Nonsense articles have been circulating on the internet the past few days, and I thought I should take legal action to end it right away.

"My fans are also aware of this, but there has been a woman pretending to be my girlfriend for the past few years. She uploads and posts on SNS (social network service) as if we were a couple. I knew it because I heard about her, but I don't know her at all. It didn't matter, but things got bigger."

Sehun once again emphasized:

"I'm clearly stating that all the photos and writings that are going around the internet right now are not me."

Here's Why EXO Chen Became Involved in Sehun's 'Pre-Marital Pregnancy With Girlfriend' Rumor

As Sehun suffered from the faux issue of impersonation of his girlfriend, controversy over the premarital pregnancy of his co-member resurfaced.

Earlier before the rumor was cleared, Sehun was seen by witnesses visiting an obstetrics and gynecology clinic with the said girlfriend.

 Although the male idol immediately took an action, the aftermath of it didn't subside and instead implicated other EXO members, especially Chen and Chanyeol.

 In 2020, Chen delivered a sudden announcement of his marriage along with news of his premarital pregnancy.

As a result, some internet users responded:

•  "It's not surprising because one member already did."
• "Is premarital pregnancy a trend in EXO?"

As negative rumors about EXO grow, some K-Netz were putting the blame on Chen, who is the said cause of the sudden change in their public image.

There are also many voices criticizing Chen, saying:

• "I think ignoring and mocking EXO has become a daily life on the stone board because of Chen and Chanyeol."
• "Why do you always make fans fight with each other while looking around?"
• "You should have gone out on your own."

As such, the opinion of kicking out Chen from EXO was once again being pursued by netizens, implying that the group's reputation will most likely be restored when he leaves the team.

Amid these controversies involving EXO, SM Entertainment has earlier announced its position, saying:

"Rumors related to Sehun are completely groundless false facts. It is a clear criminal act that spread malicious content. The post has been deleted, but we are monitoring the first publishers and rumor spreaders.

The company also hinted at strict measurement without leniency, adding:

"We will take strong legal action."
