NewJeans Haerin, Hyein's Beauty Shine During Apple Store Event

On March 29, NewJeans became center of attention for their appearance at Apple's official store event held in Gangnam, Seoul.

On this day, the quintet took commemorative photos with the flagship store as the collaboration partner for Apple Music. The partnership aims to reverse its market share by expanding online and offline channels by targeting the MZ generation through the new "Hallyu Wave Girl Group" NewJeans.

Apple Gangnam will run a session where people can enjoy NewJeans' representative song "OMG" with "spatial sound" technology, exclusively from April 1 to induce young domestic consumers to visit.

During their photo op, the five members earned praise for their stunning beauty that certified their position as trendsetters, who became luxury brands' global ambassadors in just six months after their debut.

Although all of them shone uniquely, the "maknae-line" or the youngest members, Haerin and Hyein, stood out.

During their appearance, Haerin appeared in an ivory dress and high boots. Although she was usually seen flaunting unconventional hairstyles that emphasized her cat-like and cute features, this time, Haerin styled her hair elegantly, creating a wave with see-through bangs.

Hyein was then lauded for her visuals, wearing a short-sleeved cropped blazer with a black tube as inner clothing. She partnered this with black knee-length pants, while she also opted for wavy hair without bangs.

As soon as their photos were shared online, numerous fans, especially Bunnies (fandom), praised their beauty, saying:

While people are praising the "youngest-line" looks, there are people who are unhappy about their stylist's decision to make them look "mature" for their age.

According to critics, Haerin (born in 2006) and Hyein (2008) are "too young" for such image.

While their outfits are not totally deemed "mature," their hair and makeup resemble the style an adult would go for. Looking at the older members, their outfits and makeup give off fresh and young-ish aura, suitable for their age, making them look younger than the actual maknaes.

Fans hope that the youngest members will get an age-appropriate styling as it seems "too soon" for them to transition to a more mature look.
