1. TWICE Nayeon with 'POP!'
On June 24, 2022, Nayeon released her solo debut song "POP!" from her first EP "IM NAYEON." With this bubbly song, the idol won her first ever music show win on SBS Inkigayo, which accumulated a total of 6922 points, topping over Sunmi's "Heart Burn" (4555 points) and IVE's "Love Dive" (6074 points).
Given how amazing TWICE is for raking in consecutive wins in music shows, it's also heartwarming to see their first member bag her own music show award!
2. EXO Kai with 'Rover'
Kai of EXO won his first music show win on "Music Bank," where he also made his heartfelt acceptance speech.
EXO debuted way back on April 8, 2012. Throughout their career, several members have made their own marks through sub units and solo endeavors, while balancing out group activities.
Seeing Kai take his own music show win for the first time, is something that EXO-Ls can never forget.
3. BTS Jimin with 'Set Me Free Pt 2'
On March 23, Mnet's "M Countdown" broadcasted its episode, where various artists competed against each other. In the end, Jimin took the crown with his pre-release track "Set Me Free Pt 2," which won against TWICE's "SET ME FREE," through accumulating 8,414 points.
Although this is his overall second-ever solo music win, following with his collab victory with "VIBE" alongside BIGBANG Taeyang, it's still his first-ever triumph for his solo career without collaborations.
4. BLACKPINK Jisoo with 'FLOWER'
Jisoo's first music show win is also memorable in the community. When BLACKPINK member Jennie first released her solo debut single "SOLO" in 2018, fans knew they had to wait for Jisoo's turn.
Fast forward on March 31, 2023, the wait was finally over, and BLINKs supported Jisoo's debut all the way after years of patience, which makes the idol's first ever music show win even more satisfying.
The singer won her first music show trophy on "Show Champion," which was aired on April 5.
5. Younha with 'Event Horizon'
What makes Younha's first music show win special is that the soloist achieved the success after 15 years in the music industry. "Event Horizon" also topped the charts domestically, landing a perfect-all-kill streak on Genie, Bugs, Vibe, Apple, Spotify, and more.
6. SNSD Taeyeon with 'I'
On October 14, Taeyeon from SNSD bagged first place from "Show Champion" with her iconic song "I," which showcased her goddess-like vocals!
