10 Most Popular K-pop Boy Groups for April 2023: BTS, SEVENTEEN, More!

The Korean Business Research Institute has announced April's brand reputation rankings for K-pop boy groups. With the first quarter of the year ended, K-pop has flourished this 2023 through its increasing activities, which led numerous groups to battle for popularity.

For its rankings, the data was analyzed through media coverage, consumer participation, and more aspects that contributes to a group's overall exposure. The list is comprised of information gathered from March 8 to April 8, which ranked the popularity of boy groups.

Here are 10 most popular K-pop boy groups for April 2023!

1. BTS

BTS raked in their 59th consecutive month on the list, by earning a brand reputation index of 9,446,687, due to a massive increase of 59.90 percent rise and surpassing their March score.

In their recorded keyword analysis, the names of "Jimin," "V," and "Suga" were included. The group has also garnered 89.04 percent positive reactions from their positivity-negativity analysis.

2. SEVENTEEN

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN claimed the No. 2 spot with a brand reputation index of 2,914,260. The group are also active in their activities, which include social media updates, variety shows, and music releases.

3. EXO

EXO made their way on the third spot with a brand reputation index of 2,334, 239. In a separate note, April is also EXO's debut month, which took place on the 8th. EXO also made a buzz because of their fanmeeting "EXO' CLOCK," which is slated for April 8 and 9.

4. Teen Top

Teen Top garnered a total of 2,081,849 brand reputation index, because of an overwhelming 321.25 percent increase since their March score.

5. NCT

NCT closed in the top five, by collecting a brand reputation index of 2,032,829. They generated buzz with their music activities, which included their newest unit DOJAEJUNG, composed of Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. The trio will release their debut release "Perfume" on April 17.

Meanwhile, Mark of NCT also caught everyone's attention for April, since he released his second solo track "Golden Hour" on April 7. The singer's comeback was well-loved by both NCTzens and the K-pop community.

6. BTOB

With a brand reputation index of 1,979,497, BTOB secured the No. 6 spot on the rankings.

7. THE BOYZ

For the month of April, THE BOYZ earned an index of 1,804,420, proving their popularity among fandoms.

8. MONSTA X

On No. 8, MONSTA X gained a brand reputation index of 1,684,121.

9. BIGBANG

Legendary boy group BIGBANG is no stranger to popularity, since they are one of the best boy bands in the world. The boy group garnered a brand reputation index of 1,560,932.

10. SHINee

Concluding the top 10 is iconic K-pop boy group SHINee, who collected a total of 1,498,288 for their April brand reputation index.
