EXO's loving EXO-Ls have been mentioned as the most passionate K-pop fandom of all time, according to a director from Circle Chart.

Here's what he said.

Circle Chart Director Picks EXO-Ls As the Most Passionate K-pop Fandom

On April 14, "OK POP!!" uploaded a video on their YouTube channel titled "EXO Special #1."

The video featured Steve Choi, Circle Chart's director and the secretary general for Korea Music Copy Right Association (KMCA), who constantly appears in the channel's "K-pop Analysis" videos.

The informative videos contain various topics such as the success of K-pop artists, general public outlook, and fandoms.

During the EXO special, the director discussed SM Entertainment's iconic boy group EXO, who stole everyone's hearts around the world with their music, charm, and talent. Steve Choi enumerated the factors which led to EXO's commercial success.

The topic led him to point out that EXO's fandom EXO-L is the most passionate fanbase in K-pop history. The director furthered that while many have their own take on the matter, the statement was only personal for him.

Choi added that many fanbases would battle it out for the "passionate fandom" title. However, he commended EXO-Ls for being unconditional and maintaining their love for EXO, despite the group's challenges.

"Many people would have their own opinions about this, but If you were to ask me which K-pop fandom is the most passionate, personally I would say it's EXO-L."

"EXO-L as a fandom encountered a lot of complicated feelings and sorrow. But with their great love for EXO, they managed to deal with emotional damage through the years."

Eris went through troubled times a few years after EXO debuted in 2012. In 2013, former member Kris Wu filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, and eventually concluded his activities with the group.

It was trailed by Luhan when he followed suit, leading to his departure together with Kris Wu in 2014. On 2015, Tao also filed a lawsuit against the agency, and departed from EXO in 2018.

Furthermore, member Lay was nowhere to be found in their 2017 album "The War" because of his solo activities. However, on June 7, 2021, Lay participated in EXO's seventh EP "Don't Fight The Feeling," appearing in the music video and all the album's tracks.

EXO-Ls React to Steve Choi's Remarks: 'EXO is the standard of current groups'

On the video's comments, Eris expressed their gratitude to the director. They also emphasized how amazed they were with EXO being able to uphold the standard.

Some were simply amazed by Steve Choi's analysis, while others reflected on the group and fandom's long history.
