However, amidst the lighter moments, Jennie opened up about a distressing event she had kept private until now.

She shared, "Just recently, my eldest canine companion passed away, leaving my other dog, Kuma, visibly affected. It's been challenging for us, and I've been wondering how to help him through it. I've never revealed this before, but if I were to share it, it had to be here."

Kai, her first dog, was a Cocker Spaniel well-known amongst her fans for his endearing eyes and frequent appearances in Jennie's photographs.

The impact of Kai's demise on Kuma had been evident, causing Jennie to worry, considering that younger dogs often lean heavily on their older companions for emotional support.

Grieving the Loss

Following Kai's passing, the bond between Kuma and Kai, so clearly visible in Jennie's social media posts, was suddenly broken, leaving a void.

Kang Hyung Wook empathetically questioned Jennie about her mother's well-being, to which BLACKPINK Jennie disclosed, "It's been tough on my mother. We had to take some time apart to manage our emotions, as our interactions often ended up becoming too emotionally charged."

BLACKPINK Jennie shared that it had taken her a considerable amount of time to talk about Kai openly. Even now, discussing Kai with her mother, who adored him, is a challenging ordeal.

She said, "It's a topic we tread lightly on, even now. We cherished Kai like a younger sibling, and his larger than life presence, especially when seated, gave an almost human-like vibe."

Jennie, holding back her emotions, confessed that she is still in the process of healing from this loss.

Moving Towards Healing

Kang Hyung Wook, who had experienced the loss of his dog, offered words of comfort and shared insights about his own healing process.

He said, "Bidding farewell to our furry companions is indeed sorrowful and commemorating them can be challenging. Yet, it's essential to express the grief. Once you let it out, there's a degree of closure."
