On June 1, former Teen Top C.A.P opened up about his idol life and revealed the real reason he parted ways with the team.

On the channel, "HeyNews," the male idol appeared as a special guest and received vocational counseling.

In the process, C.A.P drew attention as he opened up about how he became an idol as well as what pushed him to leave idol life after 13 years.

First, C.A.P narrated how he became an idol after being scouted on the internet. Despite having no idea what an idol is, he roughly did it and debuted after six months of training.

"I was doing Cyworld when I was 18 years old, and I got a call from the company. Until then, I have no concept of singers or idols. I got a call from the company and went to an audition, and they told me to sing and dance, so I did it roughly and it worked. I was a trainee for about six months and made my debut at the age of 19."

Without having no knowledge or desire to become an idol, he carried the responsibility of being the group's leader at a young age for 13 years. During that time, he made several attempts to quit the idol life.

Regarding why, C.A.P explained:

"No matter how much I look at it, I didn't fit into being an idol. I have to quit, but I couldn't get the right timing. What was so painful was that I also had a team and a company.

I kept trying to quit in the middle, but I couldn't because one of my team members had already left, so I thought the remaining members would collapse if I went out."

Just then, Teen Top announced that they will finally make a comeback as a whole group in July after a three-year hiatus.

Amid high anticipation, C.A.P will break fans' dream to see them as a whole group, after the former leader was embroiled in a smoking and cursing controversy while hinting at his desire to quit the group.

Shortly after this issue arose, C.A.P finally withdrew from Teen Top.

To people's surprise then, the "Miss Right" singer revealed that everything that he did and said was all intentional.

CAP Shares His Response To Hate He's Getting After Leaving Teen Top

Recently, C.A.P talked about not wanting to become an idol and his desire to part ways with Teen Top. While some respected his decision, a lot criticized his behavior as 'irresponsible" and internet users continued pouring out "malicious comments" beyond criticism on his Instagram.

Regarding this, the idol shared his response and said.

"There are so many people who post malicious comments. I really wondered why they were posting malicious comments. I contacted the people who wrote bad comments directly to me. 'Let's talk just once.' I'm really curious and tried to talk with them, but usually, those people don't try to come forward."

Meanwhile, after leaving the team, C.A.P has been doing lawn mower work and reviving his passion for arts, volunteering works and more.
