After almost debuting as IVE, former Starship trainee Cho Gahyeon suddenly "disappeared" from the K-pop scene.

Cho Gahyeon in 2018: Trainee Joins Mnet's 'Produce 48'
Cho Kahyeon, also known as Gahyeon, was a K-pop idol trainee who made her name familiar in the K-pop scene after joining Mnet's idol survival show, "Produce 48."
In the show, the idol-aspirant born in 2003 drew attention to her impressive dance skills, especially with her background in urban and hip-hop dancing.
In fact, when she performed her audition piece with her former co-Starship trainee Jang Wonyoung and An Yujin at the time, she was given the spotlight to showcase her dancing.

What made K-pop fans admire her talent was that she was only 15 years old at the time with only about two years of training.
Despite the immense support she received, Gahyeon was unfortunately eliminated in Episode 8 and finished the show at rank 57.
Cho Gahyeon in 2019 to 2020: Trainee Leaves Starship, Opens Personal Instagram
While Gahyeon failed to enter the debuting lineup of "Produce 48," her co-trainees Jang Wonyoung and An Yujin were able to finish the show at No. 1 and No. 5, leading their debut as IZ*ONE.
At the time, Gahyeon returned being a Starship trainee and her fans originally anticipated that she would debut in Starship's new girl group (hereinafter IVE), along with the aforementioned trainees after IZ*ONE completed their promotion.
Not much was heard about her after the show until 2019 when it was rumored that she already left Starship Entertainment after opening her personal Instagram.
In 2020, a fan messaged her about her status and the idol-aspirant indirectly confirmed the news by saying that she took a break from her idol trainee life. She then attested to her fans that she was doing fine and hinted at them pursuing her career in dancing.

In the same year, she made her account private, arousing fans' curiosity if she signed into a new company.
Since then, Cho Gahyeon would "disappear" from the K-pop scene.
Cho Gahyeon 2023: Trainee Launches New Instagram, Teases Career as Dancer & Choreographer
After more than 2 years, former "Produce 48" trainee Cho Gahyeon opened a new Instagram (@xgxh.27) and started communicating with fans once again.
She would occasionally update her status by posting her photos and would draw praise for her more mature beauty after apparent weight loss.
In May, Cho Gahyeon released her first profile hinting at her decision to pursue the path of being a dancer and choreographer through the hashtag.
At the same time, she uploaded a dance practice video showing her ever-impressive and improved dancing skills since she joined the survival show in 2018.
On June 4, Gahyeon uploaded her recent photos which gained a lot of love for her beauty.
