Here's what we know.

Hyomin's Personal Background, Professional History, More!

Hyomin was born as Park Sun Young on May 30, 1989. She is currently at the age of 34 and is one of K-pop's known artists, especially during its second generation. At the age of eight, Hyomin won the MiMi Prince modeling contest, highlighting her star power and charisma.

Before she was recognized in K-pop, Hyomin was formerly known as a popular ulzzang, a South Korean term for "good looking" or "best face," and a title bestowed to those who trend with the public based on their beauty, photos, and popularity.

The idol actress was first exposed in the K-pop industry when she joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee. Wonder Girls were continuously establishing their status as a second-gen representative, but in 2007, former member HyunA left the agency due to poor health.

Hyomin later signed in to MBK Entertainment, where she debuted as a T-ARA member. The group made their first entry into the K-pop scene with their first single "Lie" on July 29, 2009.

On January 3, 2018, Hyomin posted a letter on her Instagram, announcing that all members have bid farewell to MBK Entertainment, concluding their ties with the company after 10 years, but didn't face disbandment.

Apart from the K-pop industry, Hyomin is also an accomplished actress, starring in dramas such as "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho," "Sweet Temptation," and more.
