BLINKs Furious At 'The Idol' for BLACKPINK Jennie's 'Almost Topless' Outwear: 'She's steps away from going naked'

BLINKs are slamming HBO's newest drama "The Idol" for Jennie's shockingly revealing outfit during one of its scenes.

Here's what happened.

BLACKPINK Jennie's Controversial Outfit in 'The Idol' Leaves BLINKs Enraged

On June 19, BLINKs took to a forum where they discussed Jennie's revealing outfit and criticized HBO's newest drama "The Idol" for the gimmick.

In the discussion, fans uploaded an image from the show, featuring Jennie in her revealing stage outfit. While the getup seemed to have pale long sleeves, the idol's mid riff and chest are almost visibly exposed, earning the ire of BLINKs.

Netizens also flocked the section, expressing their shock over the image, and Jennie's outwear. They expressed frustration, questioning the drama's process of thinking for its production.

Read their comments below:

"Is that her drama?"

"Why is her outfit and hair like that?"

"But you can tell that she's wearing something just by looking at her arms."

"Is she not wearing something in the front or is it just see-through?"

"No but it's my first time seeing this, shocking."

"Is she not wearing a top?"

"What kind of drama is that?"

"She's two steps away from going naked and then K-netz will really lose it."

BLINKs Question Star's Participation on 'The Idol' After THIS Happened

[TW: sexual abuse, child trafficking]

While "The Idol" has been the subject of controversy because of its themes, the show's third episode seemingly crossed a line. For additional context, fans also posted a screen capture from the show, featuring a controversial joke.

The scene showed Eli Roth's character Andrew Finkelstein pulling a one-liner on the phone, stating a joke about Jeffrey Epstein, who was the notorious owner of a Caribbean residence where he allegedly sexually abused teenage girls and trafficked them.

The character stated, "I'm sh**ting more blood than a kid at Epstein's Island."

This context managed to outweigh fans' disappointment with the show's choice of styling for Jennie, as this was a case of questionable script writing, and Jennie's participation on the show.

Fans also stated that "The Idol" should already be cancelled and took their fury towards the show's production team. Meanwhile, some laid out their true feelings, stating that no one should ever participate in such a "degrading" project.

They commented:

"The outfits and whatever isn't what matters, what matters is that she along with every actor in the cast as well as the production team participated in this disgusting thing."

"She was never so bright but to actively participate & promote such a deranged script and show all on her own well is so side-eye worthy for her."

"I don't know what exactly made her agreed to this role."

"One of her worst decisions really have to be joining this show.

"Seriously I would never participate in such a project. Audience reactions aside, it's just so degrading."

"I think it's pretty well known by now that Sam Levinson calls all the shots on everything in his productions, including the script."

"This is just straight up vile. Whoever wrote this sh** should be chased out of the industry wtf."

"I'm all love for Jennie but I draw the line at her participation in this f**king disgrace of a show."
