FIFTY FIFTY's agency has named Warner Music Korea as the "external force" approaching the group members regarding their exclusive contracts.

Here's what happened.

FIFTY FIFTY's Label ATTRAKT Names Warner Music Korea as 'External Force,' Requests Explanation From Agency

On June 26, ATTRAKT announced the agency has obtained clear evidence of a poaching attempt made between Warner Music Korea and an outside third party.

In their statement, ATTRAKT also requested a precise explanation for this matter and an official statement regarding their stance.

"Material evidence has been collected by the agency, showing a clear attempt on trying to illegally poach the members of FIFTY FIFTY," the agency stated. "To clarify their part, we request Warner Music Korea to release a full explanation, as well as a statement regarding their official viewpoint."

Earlier on June 23, ATTRAKT released a statement addressing the group's lack of promotions due to one member going through recovery.

They also shed light on the "external forces" being made by an outside party during their preparations on supporting artists' well-being.

ATTRAKT stated:

"Through slanderous accusations against our agency and glorified blandishment about themselves, they are influencing our artists to make the wrong decision by prompting them to disregard their existing contracts and sign new ones with them."

"Such actions can trample the pure love of fans, their own image, and potential of these artists who only gained experience in the industry for seven months, as well as imbue a serious effect on K-pop."

"Although we can't remain silent about our anger regarding these illegal acts made by external forces, who are sabotaging a small company's miracle, we will respond without any hesitation or compromise and hold these forces legally accountable."

Following the announcement, ATTRAKT officially made a brief remark on the partnership.

"We are excited to go through innovative ways with Warner Records on how FIFTY FIFTY will perform at the music industry's forefront."

"We're anticipating how our plans and visions will look like through an artist-centered approach, and we are willing to explore room for success or opportunities."

The group was welcomed by Tom Corson, who is the co-chairman and COO of Warner Records, and Aaron Bay-Shuck, co-chairman and CEO.

"We're delighted to work with FIFTY FIFTY to boost the influence of their viral single 'Cupid.' The team of Warner Records is excited to make room for extra opportunities for FIFTY FIFTY."

FIFTY FIFTY also shared their excitement through a joint statement, and expressed gratitude to fandom Hunnies for supporting them.
