Former TEEN TOP CAP Reveals Payment of $50 as Part-time Lawn Mower

On July 4, the recent status of C.A.P, hereinafter Bang Minsoo after leaving TEEN TOP, has been unveiled. The YouTube channel, "All About Jobs," featured the former celeb's life as a lawn mower after leaving his career as a K-pop idol.

Earlier in May, C.A.P announced his departure from the group ahead of comeback in July due to controversy over inappropriate words and actions during a live stream.

Since then, he has been active as a YouTuber who has appeared in various web programs. Bang Minsoo also revealed that he started being a part-time lawn mower since the beginning of 2023.

In the broadcast, the "Miss Right" singer gave fans a wider view of his recent life, showing how he changed into his working clothes and stepped outside to go to his working place.

"We're getting reservations through the app. It's within a 50km radius of my house."

Regarding his payment for every land he's working on, he revealed that he earns more than 1 million KRW (766 USD) in a season, getting about 38.3 to 54 USD per day.

"This is a good fit for my aptitude. I earn more than 1 million won just from mowing. I get paid per case, from 50,000 won ($38.3) per 100 pyeong to 70,000 won (54 USD) for places that are difficult to work on. It takes 20 minutes to finish mowing a 100 pyeong." [*1 pyeong = 3.31 square meters]

Doing all the lawn mowing by himself, C.A.P said:

"It's good to have even one trivial skill because people in the city don't know about mowing, but there are many instances that it is needed. They don't know much about it. So the unit price is very expensive.

They give much more money than ordinary manual labor. Most of the jobs that use the body, not just construction sites, enter the field of manual labor."

While there are fans who want him to continue his career as a K-pop idol, Bang Minsoo attested that he's happier with his current life.

"You'll wonder why I quit being a celebrity and do this, but the career that I think is doing this job. I do the preliminary work (mowing) and the customers leave good reviews, and that feels more like a career.”

He added:

"I would have earned hundreds more than I currently earn. Still, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I'm happy (now)."

This is contrary to what he revealed about his life while being an idol.

"I felt the emptiness more than depression. I felt empty because there was a big difference when I came home from being C.A.P to just being Bang Minsoo."

People expressed various reactions to Bang Minsoo, saying:

  • "You have a really cool mindset."
  •  "I sincerely hope it goes well for you."
  • "I think you look much better now than when I see you on the stage."
