Mnet's Upcoming 'I-LAND 2' to Collab With YG Entertainment's Teddy, THEBLACKLABEL
Mnet has released an update regarding their upcoming survival show "I-LAND 2."
On July 24, Mnet uploaded a video on their official YouTube channel, announcing that the second season of "I-LAND" will be in collaboration with YG Entertainment's longtime producer Teddy Park and his agency THEBLACKLABEL, a subsidiary under YG.
Although the survival program will collaborate with Teddy and THEBLACKLABEL, the new girl group will be promoted under WAKEONE, a label from CJ ENM.
As for the online applications for "I-LAND 2," it will be available from July 10 to August 6. This requires any female applicants that were born before January 1, 2011, and are capable of travelling across international areas.

Meanwhile, in the video's comment section, netizens raised their anticipation for the upcoming girl group. They wished how Mnet would debut a girl group with fresh concepts which will deviate from the "usual" formula.
Some hoped for the best to those who were going to try out in the auditions, while others voiced out their relief on Mnet bringing back "I-LAND" with a second season.

On July 10, Mnet initially released a separate video for "I-LAND 2," and announced the launch of its new season.
During Mnet's first season of "I-LAND," everyone sent their anticipation on high levels as the survival show formed the popular K-pop boy group ENHYPEN in 2020. The first season was coordinated together with HYBE labels and founder Bang Si Hyuk.
This 2023, K-pop fans are in for a treat because of numerous impending or ongoing survival shows. Apart from "I-LAND 2," fans are also expected to tune in to HYBE and BELIFT LAB's "R U Next," Mnet's spin-off "Queendom Puzzle," and JYPE's upcoming survival program "A2K."
