To measure their popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute has officially announced their newest brand reputation rankings for July, which covers all K-pop artists including soloists and idol groups.
The data was determined from numerous factors such as the artists' coverage on the media, their presence on the community, participation of consumers, and general exposure that can lead to buzz. According to the chart, the results were covered from June 22 to July 22.
Here are the 10 most popular K-pop artists in July 2023!
1. Lim Young Woong
For July, Lim Young Woong claimed the No. 1 spot with a brand reputation index of 7,918,727. This led the singer to dominate the list for July 2023's brand reputation for K-pop artists.
2. BTS
BTS followed on No. 2, where they gained a brand reputation index of 7,131,169. With the members' individual endeavors gaining traction, the group managed to claim the second place.
3. NewJeans
On the third place, NewJeans secured the No. 3 position with a 20.07 percent score rise, leading to their brand reputation index of 6,077,769. The rising rookie group has also been active in their new music, promotions, and content.
4. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK placed in No. 4 due to claiming a brand reputation index of 4,773,422 for July.
5. IVE
With a brand reputation index of 3,730,668, IVE rounded the top five. IVE also gained buzz for releasing "I WANT," their commercial song for Pepsi.
6. PSY
At the sixth place, PSY made it on the list with a brand reputation index of 3,573,272.
7. LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM secured the seventh spot in July's list by gaining a brand reputation index of 3,463,307.
8. Lee Chan Won
Lee Chan Won made it on eighth place with a brand reputation index of 3,455,696.
9. SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN made it on the No. 9 spot with a brand reputation index of 3,292,066.
10. IU
Lastly, IU reeled in a brand reputation index of 3,087,255, closing the list's top 10.
