THIS RIIZE Member Criticized Ahead of Debut for Past Pictures in Bar: 'It's indeed a turnoff'

THIS RIIZE member is drawing flak ahead of the group's debut for his past pictures in a hunting bar.

Here's what happened.

RIIZE Sohee Under Fire Ahead of Debut for Alleged Past Pictures in Hunting Pub

RIIZE member Sohee is being criticized online for his alleged past activities.

On August 1, a forum titled "An SM Rookie's Past Photos That Are Turning Everyone Off" immediately caught attention online. In the discussion, numerous alleged photos of Sohee were posted by the author, who claimed that the idol had gone to a "Hunting Pub" in the past.

These pubs are bars where people go to "hunt" for a hook-up. According to the author, the photo uploaded was taken at a hunting pub called Glam, located in Joongang-dong. The OP stated:

"RIIZE member Sohee. He was at GLAM, a hunting bar in Joongang-dong. Hunting places are made for guys to meet girls in a restaurant or bar setting, where men would ask women or strangers on a date."

This location was re-posted by a Twitter user from a now-deleted Tweet.

"It just shows that he has no conscience and is thoughtless. If his past was that dirty, then shouldn't he have debuted as a soloist instead?"

Netizens expressed their disappointment over the idol and conveyed how much of a turnoff it was. Meanwhile, there were others who didn't mind the issue of him going to a hunting spot.

  •  "So it has already started."
  •  "It's indeed a turnoff."
  •  "To be honest, I don't expect everyone to have a squeaky-clean history, as long as they didn't commit school violence."
  •  "Adults wanting to go to hunting pubs is not the issue here. It's just that he still wants to become an idol is what's turning people off."
  •  "He does give me the first impression of a thug."
  •  "Of course it's a turn-off. Any male idol with pre-debut pictures containing a context like that would be a turn-off."

Meanwhile, in a separate matter, the author uploaded a picture involving Sohee with a group of friends. The picture featured the peer posing in front of an elementary school, and according to the author, it was allegedly posted by a friend on Sohee's Instagram with a profane caption.

"'At our (f**cking) starting point' (starting point = sibaljeom. He makes a wordplay with f**ck = ssibaljeom). His friend posted this on Twitter."

Netizens commented:

  •  "Is Sohee's friend setting him up? Can he really call that a friend?"
  •  "It looks like there are a lot of greedy people surrounding him."

In other news, RIIZE has launched their official Instagram account on August 1. The upcoming boy group is composed of seven members: Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton. RIIZE will make their debut on the month of September.
