8 K-pop Rookie Groups Topping August 2023 Brand Reputation Rankings: NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, ZB1, More!

With numerous groups making headlines with their activities, viral moments, and music releases, fans are indeed well-fed.

To measure the artists' popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute has officially announced their newest brand reputation rankings for August 2023, which involves several fourth-gen K-pop groups who debuted in 2022 or later on.

According to their chart, data was analyzed through factors such as the participation of consumers, coverage within the media, and exposure that can lead to buzz. The list collected information from July 1 to August 1.

Here are 8 K-pop rookie groups dominating the brand reputation rankings for August 2023!

1.    NewJeans

For August, NewJeans made their fourth consecutive month on the No. 1 spot with a 43.19 percent score increase and a brand reputation index of 6,732,407.

Apart from their total score this August, NewJeans also managed to collect 85.01 percent positive reactions for their positivity-negativity analysis.

The group also gained traction due to their consecutive releases, which involved MVs "New Jeans," "Super Shy," "Cool With You (side A and B)" "ETA" and "ASAP." NewJeans also gained attention for their promotions, variety show appearances, and social media updates.

2.    LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM defended their place at No. 2, by gaining a 36.23 percent score rise and a brand reputation index of 4,441,881.

3.    ZEROBASEONE

ZEROBASEONE is one of the trending rookie groups of 2023, due to their formation on Mnet's survival program "Boys Planet." The project boy group defended their fort on No. 3 with a 51.98 percent score rise, leading to a brand reputation index of 2,562,499.

4.    NMIXX

On the No. 4 spot, JYP Entertainment's latest K-pop girl group NMIXX collected a brand reputation index of 1,552,194. The group also met an overwhelming increase in their score with a 124.64 percent increase.

NMIXX also attained buzz because of their release of third single album "A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream," along with its MVs of pre-release song "Roller Coaster," and title track "Party O' Clock."

5.    H1-KEY

H1-KEY completed the August list's top five with a brand reputation index of 1,060,337, highlighting the group's climbing popularity.

6.    The Wind

The Wind garnered a brand reputation index of 1,009,987 for August 2023.

7.    CSR

On the seventh place, CSR achieved a brand reputation score of 831,630.

8.    Queenz Eye

Queenz Eye collected a brand reputation index of 702,161, earning them the August list's eighth place.
