ZEROBASEONE Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae Suspend Activities — What Happened?

WAKEONE has temporarily suspended the group schedules of ZB1 Matthew and Taerae, to which they announced in an official statement.

ZEROBASEONE Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae Diagnosed With COVID-19

On August 2, WAKEONE Entertainment announced in an official statement that ZB1 members Matthew and Taerae have been diagnosed with COVID-19, leading to the group's cancellation of their upcoming activities.

According to their statement, ZEROBASEONE's recording for their "M Countdown History M" stage was inevitably cancelled due to the two members' current health condition. The performance was supposed to air on Mnet's "M Countdown" episode on August 3.

Additionally, ZEROBASEONE's scheduled fan signing and fan call events from August 3 to 5 were also postponed. WAKEONE concluded their statement by assuring fans they will prioritize the recovery of Matthew and Taerae.

"Hello. This is WAKEONE Entertainment.

We are here to inform everyone that ZEROBASEONE members Seok Matthew and Kim Tae Rae's COVID-19 diagnosis and their upcoming schedules.

Seok Matthew and Kim Tae Rae experienced mild flu-like symptoms on August 2, which led them to undergo rapid antigen tests to take precautions. When the results were disclosed, it was revealed the two members were confirmed to be COVID-19 positive.

Matthew and Taerae didn't showcase any other symptoms apart from mild sore throats. With the guidance of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, Matthew and Taerae will be transferred to a separate location away from the members with the purpose of self-isolation for five days.

Meanwhile, the other ZEROBASEONE members aren't currently displaying unusual signs of COVID-19. Nevertheless, they also went through rapid antigen tests for precautionary measures, and all members' test results were confirmed negative.

With this sudden matter, there were inevitable changes made on ZEROBASEONE's schedules activities. We kindly ask for everyone's understanding, since we chose to make these changes because we prioritize our artists' health and wellbeing above all.

ZEROBASEONE's scheduled "M Countdown History M" pre-recording on Mnet's August 3 (Thursday) episode has been cancelled. However, members Sung Han Bin, Kim Ji Woong, and Zhang Hao will still be making their appearances as special MCs on Mnet's "M Countdown."

On August 6 (Sunday), ZEROBASEONE will perform as a seven-membered group at the '2023 World Scout Jamboree K-pop Super Live' as planned, with the exclusion of members Seok Matthew and Kim Tae Rae.

Furthermore, ZEROBASEONE's arranged fan signing and video call events from August 3 (Thursday) to August 5 (Saturday) have been postponed and will be held at a later schedule. Regarding those who have been chosen to attend the fan events, a separate announcement will be made, which will address new details and schedule through retailers.
