Bae Suzy Selected as New Model for Beer Brand 'HANMAC'

K-pop idol-turned-actress Bae Suzy, a former Miss A member, has been selected as the new advertising model for the emerging beer brand, HANMAC!

On August 14, the brand official introduced the female star as their new campaign CF model explaining:

"Suzy, who has been loved by the public for a long time since her debut was chosen as she matched the characteristic of the product with her fantastic visuals and soft image."

On the same day, a campaign pre-launch video was released on the brand's official social network service and channel.

In the clip, Suzy with a visual reminiscent of a goddess appears in a mysterious BGM, drawing admiration from viewers and K-pop fans.

Unfortunately, people expressed regrets as the video only ran for 15 seconds, which is not enough to fully appreciate the idol's beauty.

The brand then added the caption:

"The first sip of beer is always fantastic. What if the taste of the first sip goes to the end? With a soft bubble of fantasy, the imagination becomes a reality."

Meanwhile, on her personal Instagram, Suzy also commemorates her collaboration with the brand by posting her selfies at what seemed to be a welcoming party for her thrown by HANMAC.

Internet users and fans who saw this left comments such as:

Meanwhile, prior to becoming an advertisement model for HANMAC, Suzy established herself first as a "Soju Goddess" when she was tapped as the model for "Chum Churum" from 2016 until 2021.

The pure-looking visuals that earned her the moniker "Nation's First Love" became one of the factors why he was loved by a lot of alcohol lovers in South Korea.

In particular, being a Soju model is one of the most exclusive deals that a celebrity can receive as it was only offered to the most beautiful and popular female stars of a certain generation and era.

On the flip side, beer advertisements are traditionally offered to male CF models to effectively deliver a thrilling sense of freshness. This was often given to the toughest and sexiest celebrities out there.

However, in 2023, Bae Suzy broke this "unwritten rule" by becoming the model for HANMAC, and consumers are looking forward to how Suzy's unique soft image will be storytelling with the beer brand.

On the other hand, Bae Suzy, South Korea's "First Love" and one of the most legendary K-pop visual idols has been working as an actor and singer for Management SOOP since 2019 after Miss A disbanded in 2017.

Recently, as a singer, she participated as a singer of the theme song, "R.U.N" of the HYBE Labels audition program, "R U Next."

As an actress, she plays the lead role in the upcoming Netflix drama, "Doona!," starring opposite actor Yang Sejong.

"Doona!" played by Suzy is a romance youth drama that has now been filmed and will only be available on Netflix on October 20.
