EXO Chanyeol solo debut is finally green lit!

On August 14, EXO held their highly-anticipated "EXIST" Yizhiyu fansign event in Qingdao, China. The group gave Cherries (Chinese Eris) the time of their lives through their sporty baseball outfits, dashing visuals, and sincere interaction.

However, according to numerous posts on social media, Eris claimed that Chanyeol had confirmed his solo debut during the fanmeeting.

On Twitter, a fan's conversation with Chanyeol gained attention.

Their interaction comprised of a wholesome exchange between the EXO-L and Chanyeol. After the fan complimented Chanyeol's eyes, his solo album was brought out to light in a casual talk.

The translation is as follows:

OP: "Hello, oppa, this is the first time I have come to sign!"

Chanyeol: "Hello! Ah, really?"

OP: "Yes, oppa. Let's guess what OXY means first."

Chanyeol: "...I can't guess this."

OP: "OXY is OXYGEN. It means that Oppa is my oxygen."

Chanyeol: "Ah it turned out to be like this (laughs)."

EXO Chanyeol Hints At Solo Album Release After Military Discharge

EXO Chanyeol has already hinted fans about this potential solo debut.

On April 29, 2022, Chanyeol was part of the fansign event for military musical "Meissa's Song."

The musical starred Chanyeol, alongside with INFINITE L, B.A.P Daehyun, Jang Ki Yong, and many more. Its story was set in two countries that contained differing cultures.

Kamur, a fictional nation where a long-standing civil war is brewing and Korea, where K-pop auditions are occurring.

Raman, the protagonist, is sent to search for Meissa, a dispatched soldier who inspired him to become an idol.

At the fansign event, Eris got the opportunity to ask Chanyeol about his future activities after completing his military service.

Luckily, a fan was able to get Chanyeol's answer about a solo album query, which sparked enthusiasm in the K-pop community.

"Of course! (I'd do it) immediately after I get discharged from the military," Chanyeol stated.
