After the dating rumor between (G)I-DLE Soyeon and Moon Se Hoon arose, the "Single's Inferno" star's agency was quick to reveal the real score between the two who were spotted in a department store together.

Rumors of a romantic relationship between Jeon Soyeon (25), the leader of the girl group (G)I-DLE, and Moon Se Hoon (28), a broadcaster and businessman who starred in "Single's Inferno," are expected to end after the reality star's agency finally broke its silence.

The dating speculations ignited when Soyeon and Se Hoon were spotted together spending time at a clothing store inside a department store located in Apgujeong.

Looking at the two stars in the candid shot, Se Hoon was seemingly surprised after seeing someone take their photo, while Soyeon looked either unaware or unbothered.

As soon as the photo of them circulated on various online communities and social media platforms, suspicions were raised that the two of them were in a relationship.

On August 21 then, Moon Se Hoon's agency Green Snake E&M  put an end to the rumor and released its official position, saying:

"They are only just close friends. It's not a dating rumor at all."

The company explained:

"Who would go to the department store so openly if they are really dating? Moon Se Hoon has a bright and cheerful personality, so he has many close friends around him. He recently had to go shopping for clothes, but it seems like (Soyeon) happened to go with him.

They are close but it's not deep. It is known that Moon Se Hoon is close to many celebrities, not only to Soyeon."

How Jeon Soyeon & Moon Se Hoon's Dating Rumor Started

Meanwhile, the dating rumor has been lingering in Chinese online communities since July when the OP claimed that they saw Soyeon and Se Hoon in Galleria Mall in Seoul.

They even dropped the exact location and the store that they visited, which is Wooyoungmi brand that sells men’s clothes.

At the time, it caused a huge surprise to fans and netizens as there is no significant connection between the two known to the public, and their combination confused web users. Due to the warm atmosphere between the two, people were quick to speculate that they are dating.

Soyeon, born in 1998, debuted as (G)I-DLE in 2018. She was recognized for her musical capabilities by directly producing the group from their debut song "LATATA" to "Nxde."

As for Moon Se Hoon, he was born in 1995 and runs a Western restaurant as a businessman and broadcaster who made his face known through Netflix's "Solo Hell" in 2021.

In April, he signed an exclusive contract with CRB E&M (Green Snake Media).
