SNSD YoonA 'Rejected' Jaejoong + Idol-Actor's Counterattack

In a broadcast, singer and actor Kim Jaejoong revealed an anecdote with his junior artist and friend, SNSD YoonA.

On August 31, the YouTube channel "UHMG" posted Episode 6 of Kim Jaejoong's web show, "Jae Friend," with the title, "A former colleague who was a junior-turned-out to be a senior best friend."

In the broadcast, the identity of the special guest wasn't revealed immediately, but the idol had to guess their names by looking at the keywords written by the guests themselves.

Among the hints and introduction written by his guest for this episode was "pretty but funny girl." Contemplating who is it, Jaejoong mentioned various K-pop idols including KARA Nicole and Gyuri as well as Girls' Generation YoonA, whom he cited as funny.

Jaejoong even recalled an anecdote about YoonA and confessed that he was once dumped by the idol even without him confessing to her.

"Among Girls' Generation, I can't forget YoonA. She is really funny that when she gets to know you a little, she'll be like, 'For your information oppa, by any chance, you shouldn't tell me if you like me or that you want to go out with me."

Hearing this, the whole studio burst into laughter and Jaejoong continued by praising YoonA's confident and funny personality.

"(It happened) when we were trainees. She has this confidence that I can't explain, she exudes a lot of self-esteem."

However, Jaejoong also hilariously counterattacked by saying that YoonA is not her type and joked:

"But personally, okay, I think YoonA is so pretty. But people who have too much beauty, they are not my preference."

Hearing this, the staff continued to tease the idol by highlighting that he was rejected even without a confession during their trainee days.

Fans are also drawing laughter at how YoonA, also praised for her beauty like "Aphrodite," rejected Jaejoong, who is known as one of the most handsome K-pop idols in history.

As it turned out, it's not YoonA but SNSD Sooyoung was actually the guest of Jaejoong for his web show's latest episode. During the broadcast, the former SM Entertainment colleagues reminisced about their time in the agency while preparing food.

Jaejoong specifically asked:

"How old were we when we first met each other?"

Sooyoung then replied:

"When did you become a trainee of our agency?"

The idol responded that it was in 2001 and Sooyoung made the staff laugh after she suddenly talked informally and said:

"So I was your senior?"

Jaejoong was lost for a second and replied:

"I felt death from her."

Meanwhile, Sooyoung entered SM Entertainment in 2000 and she originally joined a Japanese-Korean girl group Route 0 from 2002 to 2003. After its activities, Sooyoung returned to SM and would later debut as SNSD in 2007.

On the other hand, Jaejoong joined SM in 2001 and in 2003, she debuted as a TVXQ member.
