Uhm Jung Hwa Flaunts Solid Abs at 53 – What's Icon's Secret in Maintaining Youthful Body?

Recently, the 53-year-old female icon Uhm Jung Hwa took to her personal YouTube channel to share how she was able to maintain a healthy physique despite her age. Looking at her body, you would think she's only in her early 30s, but she's truly above 50 now!

On this day then, she particularly revealed her exercise routine that gave her a toned abs that a lot of people want to have as well.

First, the icon clarified that she didn't achieve it overnight, but it was the fruit of her hard work and discipline. She said:

"I've been working out really hard these days, and everyone was very surprised to see my abs.

When I think of Lee Hyori during 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' in 'Queens on the Road,' I focused on my abdominal exercises because I wanted to show my abs while performing intensely this time."

She then showed a glimpse of her workout routine and explained:

"If I trained my abs and side muscle exercises for almost an hour, I worked out hard enough to invest in my stomach for almost 30 to 40 minutes.

As I usually exercised like this, many things that I was afraid of before don't matter now, even if what stage or situation came. I'm so grateful and proud that you guys really liked the stage."

Afterward, Uhm Jung Hwa visited the gym and revealed her own exercise routine. Starting with warm-up sets, she surely takes care of her abs meticulously for doing another set of abdominal exercises.

The icon reminded viewers of the importance of maintaining one's body and stated:

"I posted a picture of my abs on Instagram recently, and it was a month ago. If you don't do it every day, it disappears quickly. I think it's too difficult to maintain if you don't do it every day."

Here Are 4 Workouts Uhm Jung Hwa Follows to Maintain Toned Abs

Meanwhile, four workouts complete the idol's routine.

First is lying legs lower, wherein your leg is raised and lowered by lying on your back. Both legs must be straight and it is important to lift the toes about 15 to 20 cm into the air. This is done in 3 sets of 15.

Second is a dumbbell pullover which is beneficial to you if you want to build arm muscles. Holding the dumbbell, you raise it above your head.

Third, is the peck deck chest fly, during this exercise, you may use gym equipment or water bottles as alternatives.

You place your elbows at your sides and lift the dumbbells or water bottle in front of you so that your arms form a 90-degree angle. Then, as you exhale, spread the arms holding the water bottle to the sides until you feel the shoulder blades coming together. This is done in 3 sets of 20.

Last but not least, hip thrust develops the hip muscles and balances the lower body so do it in 3 sets of 30 to so grow butt muscles.
