BLACKPINK Jennie, Jisoo Reportedly Establish One-Man Agency to Focus on Solo Activities

Amid initial rumors that only Rosé renewed the contract with YG Entertainment among BLACKPINK members, reports claimed that Jennie and Jisoo already found their new nest by establishing their respective one-man agencies.

On September 25, an exclusive article released by the Korean media outlet News1 stated that Jennie and Jisoo recently established a one-man agency, separately and continued their independent moves.

Based on the report, the aforementioned BLACKPINK members plan to continue their individual activities at the company they founded themselves, but they are still discussing BLACKPINK activities with YG Entertainment.

YG Entertainment Denies Both Reports About Jennie & Jisoo Establishing Own Companies

Immediately after the report, YG Entertainment denied that Jennie and Jisoo had established a one-man agency, saying:

"There is no confirmation yet regarding the renewal and future activities of BLACKPINK."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, which debuted in 2016, is drawing keen attention due to the members' renewal issues as the quartet celebrated its seventh anniversary in August.

After the group's world tour, "BORN PINK," ended on September 17, the reports and rumors about their future moves intensified.

Despite this, neither of the two sides announced any official position on whether to renew the contract.

In fact, prior to the rumor of establishing a one-man agency for Jisoo and Jennie, Newsen initially reported that Lisa among the members is likely the only one planning not to renew her contract with YG, earlier in July.

As a response, the company said:

"We are currently in talks."

On September 21 then, rumors once again emerged that Rosé would be the only member to renew her contract and that the other three would leave YG.

Again, YG denied such reports and replied:

"There is no confirmation regarding the renewal of BLACKPINK."

Even when Lisa and Jisoo were rumored to sign contracts with other agencies for tens of billions of won in down payments, YG is consistent in denying such allegations and asking fans and media to wait for their official announcement.

In the meantime, the members tried to reassure their fans by consistently releasing photos and videos showing off each other's strong loyalty.

In April, Jisoo appeared on a YouTube channel and when the topic of discord among BLACKPINK members came out, she confidently replied:

"We laugh a lot when we see it. I say like, "They say that I am your competition, so I'm keeping you in check,' 'Hey why didn't you upload it on Instagram? It's making a rumor of discord,' You should've promoted my album,' etc., We can pass it on as a joke."
