Girl's Day New Album? Yura Reveals If She's Still Close With Members + Possible Reunion

After 6 years of hiatus, Yura gave an update about the current relationship with fellow Girl's Day members and the group's potential reunion.

Here's what the idol-actress said in her recent interview.

Yura Updates on Relationship With Girl's Day Members

On the afternoon of September 26, K-pop idol-turned-actress Yura sat down for an interview following the release of her new movie, "Marrying the Mafia: Returns," on the 21st.

The interview was held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and here, she talked about various topics, including the film, her acting career, and Girl's Day's status.

Regarding whether the members supported and cheered her for her new project, Yura attested to the unchanging closeness of the quartet.

"Whenever we do (a work), we talk a lot among the members. Soon, Minah's movie will be released, and Hyeri's movie will be released when it's over. It feels good to keep coming out (like this). I think we meet and talk a lot about acting."

In fact, Yura revealed that Girl's Day regularly meets each other despite their busy individual schedules.

"I met the Girls' Day members once at the end of August. It is not easy to meet the schedule if we want to meet together.

Even if we see each other occasionally, there is a very comfortable feeling as if we have met often. If we can't all see each other, either only three members will meet or we split into two people each, we will still see each other that way."

Being together for 13 years, Yura described her relationship with her co-members.

"I think just having these members is a blessing in life. It feels different from a friend you meet regularly. Having these members makes me think that I'm really blessed with people as I'm getting older and older."

Yura Hints at Possible Reunion, New Girl's Day Album: 'They want to do it, but...'

In the same interview, Yura confessed that she also dreams of a new album of Girl's Day while watching the reunions of 2nd-gen idols.

Yura laughed when she said:

"Even in my dreams, I dream of standing on Girl's Day's stage (someday). When I see my fellow singers coming together again, I want to do the same. I guess we're all in different companies now, and there are a lot of things we have to adjust to. Looking at it, I think it would be difficult to tell you exactly when we will be able to reunite in detail."

But Yura is certain about one thing:

"Girl's Day members want to do it."

On the other hand, Yura's new film, "Marrying the Mafia: Returns" is about a star writer Daeseo (Yoon Hyun Min) with a God-given talent for writing. When he accidentally meets Jinkyung (Yura), the youngest daughter of the Jang family, her family sets out to restore the family's glory.

It is a work about two people's grand plans to get married, and actress Yura plays the role of Jinkyung, the youngest daughter of the family.

On the other hand, Yura is expected to show a side she has never seen before with a variety of charms as "Jinkyung," a pure but fiery owner who cannot hold back when touched.
