SHINee's Key made a guest appearance on the YouTube channel 'Cho Hyun-ah's Thursday Night' on the 6th, engaging in a candid conversation with Jo Hyun-ah.

During the interview, Jo Hyun-ah commended Key's sharp and insightful style, questioning whether he had a distinct 'Key line' as a producer.

Key responded humbly, stating that such a line had not been defined yet, but he highlighted the unique qualities he sees in idols chosen by the public, mentioning Oh My Girl's Seunghee as an example.

Emotional Realities: Key's Unexpected Tears and Reflection on Overwhelming Busyness 

Anticipating a time when Seunghee's talents would be universally recognized, Key discussed the challenges she faced during a difficult period, referring to burnout.

When asked if he had experienced similar struggles, Key admitted that taking a break would have been appropriate at the current juncture.

However, he explained the constraints of annual plans at his company, emphasizing the necessity of pushing through and expressing the need for a break after completing ongoing commitments.

Reflecting on this moment, he acknowledged concerns about reaching his limit and the potential consequences of sustained pressure throughout the year.

Despite these worries, Key reassured fans that he wasn't on the verge of falling apart. He urged them not to worry excessively, emphasizing that if the challenges were insurmountable, he wouldn't have discussed them publicly.

Closing on a positive note, he expressed gratitude for the joy he found in discussing concerns with his sister and singing, highlighting the enjoyment and thankfulness derived from those moments.

SHINee Key Shares Anecdote About Trainee Days under SM Entertainment 

On the other hand, SHINee Key unveiled never-been-told behind-the-scenes stories of how the group was formed, including his trainee journey under SM Entertainment. 

Key, who dropped his second mini-album "Good & Great" on the 11th, opened up about his group and solo career in SM Entertainment for 16 years.

"It was always SM (for me) from the beginning. I wanted a company with capital. I liked K-pop since I was young. I like TVXQ and BoA, so I auditioned for SM 3 times. I didn't like other companies. I just want it. I think I was just really destined to go to SM."

"I took an audition at the age of 15 and became a trainee for two to three years. Luckily, it was time when Girls' Generation was just launched and I was preparing to debut in a boy group.

I'm a member from a provincial area, so I went to school from Monday to Friday and got to Seoul during weekends to practice. I was in a great hurry. Other friends go to practice every day after school, but I can't do that."
