In a surprising turn of events, Genie, formerly of the group Enmix, marked a significant milestone in her career with a solo debut showcase celebrating the release of her album titled An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove on the 11th.

Genie initially rose to prominence as a member of the girl group N-Mix, making her debut in February of the previous year following an arduous seven-year training period.

However, in December of the same year, she departed from the group, terminating her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment.

Diverging from the musical style of her former group, N Mix, the album presents a unique musical world envisioned by Genie.

She revealed, “I listened to a variety of songs, shared my opinions, and collaborated closely with my team to prepare for this new chapter.”

The album features tracks such as 'Here We Go Again,' signaling a fresh start, 'Dancing With The Devil,' a portrayal of overcoming harsh realities, 'Bad Reputation,' an exploration of indifference to one's reputation, and the title track 'C,' expressing the emotions of falling in love. The album, consisting of a total of five songs, also includes the Korean version of 'mon' (feat. Amine) and 'C'mon.'

Genie expressed confidence in the title track, describing it as an addictive song that encapsulates the essence of everyday love. Renowned composers, choreographers, and rapper Amine collaborated to bring the song to completion.

Genie's debut album is scheduled for release at 6 PM on the 11th, accompanied by an online fan showcase on YouTube.

Genie expressed gratitude to her fans, acknowledging the anticipation and promising to evolve in subsequent albums, aiming to present an improved version of herself.
