BIGBANG Taeyang Lauded Amid G-Dragon's Illegal Drug Use Booking

On October 25, Korean news outlet News1 disclosed that G-Dragon had been booked by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency.

Without detention, the idol's investigation was due to a drug-related violation, which breaks the Narcotics Control Act. The police authorities released a brief statement regarding the booking, saying they can't fully disclose details due to it being an investigation.

"Since it's a case which is on the process of investigating, we cannot reveal concrete details," they stated. The police added the case is a separate matter from Lee Sun Gyun's drug use investigation that led the actor to drop out from upcoming drama "No Way Out."

"The case is a separate one, and it's not associated with Lee's case," they followed.

"Currently, G-Dragon is not an artist under our company, so making an official statement about the matter would be difficult for us," YG Entertainment stated.
