She explained that her dream of becoming a singer was ignited after watching performances by BoA, particularly "MKMF" and "Girls on Top."

She was deeply inspired by these moments and aspired to become a performing artist. Interestingly, she discontinued vocal lessons, but fate had other plans for her.

The owner of her vocal academy established an entertainment company and brought her along, ultimately leading to her debut.

Bang Minah recalled that she didn't anticipate joining a girl group initially. She had imagined herself in a vocal group similar to Big Mama or Brown Eyed Girls.

However, the unexpected occurred when they were asked to dance, leaving her perplexed. She said:

"I didn't expect to join a girl group. I thought we would become a vocal group like Big Mama or Brown Eyed Girls. But suddenly, they told us to dance, and I wondered, 'Why am I learning this?' But it turned out to be helpful. The debut song they gave us was a dance track."

Their debut track, "Tilt My Head," wasn't a massive hit, and Bang Minah revealed:

"It was a disaster. But it wasn't as obvious to people. It was a concept that no one had ever done before. We attached sponge bubbles sold in stationery stores to our outfits. Album-wise, it was a failure, but our recognition among people increased. People thought we would disappear soon."

She had envisioned herself as a singer and wanted recognition as such, not as a laughingstock. In response to her feelings, she and her fellow Girl's Day members met with their CEO and requested a new, cooler song.

This request led to their iconic song "Female President."

Despite the rocky start, Girl's Day went on to achieve success with songs like "Ring My Bell" and "Expectation."

Alongside her singing career, Bang Minah ventured into acting. Her official acting debut came with the drama "Beautiful Gong Shim," where she played the lead role.

However, the transition to acting wasn't without its challenges. Bang Minah revealed that she felt like she had betrayed her fans by shifting into acting because she initially gained recognition as a singer.

She confessed, "I felt like I betrayed my fans who liked me as a singer because I originally started off as one. I sometimes still have these thoughts."
