Before the year ends, the K-pop Radar dropped its 2023 "K-pop Global Map," showing the most popular groups in the world in terms of views.

According to K-pop Radar, BLACKPINK reigned as the most popular K-pop artist in the world in 2023, beating their top rival, BTS!

Also, based on the report, NewJeans, who debuted in August 2022, was hailed the most popular among fourth-gen K-pop acts in terms of views.

On November 15, Space Oddity's K-pop Radar announced its "2023 K-pop Global Map" during its annual conference on its YouTube channel.

K-pop Radar is a fandom service platform that collects and analyzes real-time data of K-pop groups on social media sites such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter (hereinafter X) and more.

In order to determine the most popular acts this year, the platform made an analysis of the YouTube views of several K-pop artists from August 2022 to August 2023.

According to this, BLACKPINK claimed the first spot with 13.47% in the Top 10 most viewed popular K-pop artists around the world, beating BTS, who amassed 10.37%.

Among them, girl group NewJeans, which leads the fourth-generation era, then ranked fourth with 3.89%, making an unusual performance for a rookie. The group reportedly leads a "New Chapter," which became a new keyword during the 2023 K-pop Radar Conference.

For a year, K-pop Radar then lauded the overwhelming growth of LE SSERAFIM from 2022 to 2023 as they ranked #1 in the rookie category.

Regarding the countries in which K-pop is the most popular, Korea ranked first with 15.71 percent in the top 10 popular K-pop countries worldwide.

It was followed by Japan (7.98%), Indonesia (7.48%), India (5.65%), and the United States (5.44%) ranking second to fifth, in order. K-pop was classified as popular as well in regions of Thailand (4.63%), Mexico (4.53%), the Philippines (4.49%), Argentina (3.52%), and Brazil (3.43%).

Meanwhile, aside from the aforementioned, the 2023 K-pop Global Map also released various and detailed global K-pop data such as changes for a year between 2022 and 2023 as well as changes in the K-pop topography for five years between 2019 and 2023.

Data comparing the top 20 views by country of 4th generation girl groups were also included and all of this can be seen and published on the K-pop Radar YouTube and K-pop Radar conference websites.
