Super Junior Sustains Minor Injuries from Trespasser, Antenna Updates Idol's Status

On November 20, TV Chosun disclosed that Kyuhyun of Super Junior was injured by a woman in her 30s on the previous day (November 19).

Sources state that the trespasser invaded the dressing room of a musical theater in Seoul. After entering, the woman threatened an actor with a weapon, leading Kyuhyun, who was on site, to restrain the offender and sustain minor injuries during the process.

Kyuhyun's agency Antenna responded to the reports and informed iMBC Entertainment. The company shared that the idol received an abrasion to his finger and was treated immediately.

"Kyuhyun suffered a minor abrasion on his finger and was treated instantly on the spot," Antenna shared.

The agency also confirmed the incident, "It is true that there was a violent rampage at the musical venue on the 19th. We are currently sorting out our stance."

It was also confirmed that the offender has no ties with the musical actors. Authorities from the Seoul Gangseo Police Station have arrested the trespasser with intimidation charges and are currently investigating the motive.

In other news, Kyuhyun appeared on the 155th episode of Park Myung Soo's show "Halmyungsoo" on November 3. Apart from the "Mr. Simple" singer, the program also guested television personality and rapper Defconn.

There, the two celebrities conversed about how similar they were since both became reality dating show judges.

However, what caught fans' interest was the query Defconn and Park Myung Soo made towards Kyuhyun. The stars inquired about the veteran idol's decision to move to Antenna after working with SM Entertainment.

At first, Kyuhyun hesitated to answer and jokingly questioned if it was okay to disclose his answer in a variety show. The idol eventually replied that moving to Antenna was due to his yearning to discover and try out new kinds of music.

Moreover, Kyuhyun assured them that he's still associated with SM Entertainment since he still has activities with his longtime group Super Junior. The singer shared:

"I moved to Antenna since I wanted to try new kinds of music. As a member of Super Junior, I made a separate contract. Nothing changed."

On August 7, Kyuhyun joined Antenna by signing an exclusive contract with the company. The agency is also owned by popular TV personality and comedian Yoo Jae Sook. It is also the company of artists such as Lee Hyori and Yoo Hee Yeol.
