In light of the recent League of Legends (LoL) World Championship held in Korea, fans once again brought back K-pop idols who publicly showed love for the game.

In K-pop, plenty of idols are also heavy gamers as gaming is their way to relieve their stress and kill their time without having to go outside.

While a lot of celebrities play games since it's fun, THESE female idols surprised fans with their top-tier skills you would think they're pros.

Here Are 5 Gamer Female Idols Who Are Skillful in Playing League of Legends (LoL)

1. SONAMOO New Sun

Choi Yunseon, also known as SONAMOO New Sun, is known to have the highest tier among female celebrities. According to her, she once went up to Platinum II.

At the OGN Game Olympics For Idols, the idol-turned-actress participated in the role event as a supporter and received rave reviews for leading the hard carry with Nami, the state champion.

In the past, she also served as a captain for a game-centered YouTube channel and she also used to post LoL-related content on her personal account.

2. Former MOMOLAND Yeonwoo

Yeonwoo, a former MOMOLAND member and now actress is also known for her love for games.

In a broadcast in 2019, she confessed that she could go as long as eight to nine hours out playing games.

In an interview, she revealed that her tier in "League of Legends" is Gold I and II, and said:

"If you ask me if I'm the best female celebrity, I'm careful to answer, but my skills are not bad."

She continued to express her love for gaming, adding:

"It's cool to see people who are good at games. When I see professional gamers such as Faker playing games, I respect them."

3. LE SSERAFIM Sakura

In November 2020, Sakura confessed that she enjoyed playing LoL and mentioned it several times on broadcast.

In 2023, she even hosted LoL content in a PC room with professional gamer and current DPlus KIA Kim Hyuk Kyu, popularly known as Deft.

During the game, Sakura chose Seraphine and explained:

"I like the character Seraphine the most. She has a pink hairstyle and has an idol concept. When I was playing LoL, I spoke a lot with Koreans, so my Korean has improved while playing LoL."

The idol's highest tier is Silver and his most used champion is Pyke.

4. (G)I-DLE Soyeon

Despite her busy schedule as (G)I-DLE's producer, Soyeon always found free time to play League of Legends in the past.

Soyeon claimed that she thinks she's not a bad player, and FUN FACT! She voiced Akali when K/DA, a LoL-themed virtual girl group debuted in 2018!

5. Olivia Hye

Among female idols, Olivie Hye is also known as a hardcore gamer especially PUBG, and she also plays LoL.

Due to her skills, fans even jokingly said that gamers might feel thankful she debuted as a singer instead of going pro.
