BABYMONSTER Ahyeon Spotted at Cube Entertainment — Is the Idol Transferring?

After sitting out BABYMONSTER's debut, numerous accounts claimed that they spotted Ahyeon at Cube Entertainment.

What is happening?

BABYMONSTER Ahyeon Rumored to Transfer to Cube — Why Are Fans Okay With It?

In online communities, Ahyeon, a member of YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER, became the center of attention after Korean netizens and fans revealed her recent status following her temporary break due to health issues.

On November 27, numerous accounts came out testifying that they recently spotted Ahyeon visiting Cube Entertainment in the middle of the night.

Although no photo could further prove it, an internet user wrote:

"So she just left? There have been many cases like that, so this seems credible."

As BABYMONSTER was signed under YG Entertainment, being spotted in another company immediately sparked a "transfer" rumor.

On top of that, the rumor broke in time for the girl group's official debut on the 27th, in which she didn't participate to recover.

Upon seeing this unconfirmed news, K-pop fans expressed divided opinions, but surprisingly, a lot of her supporters wanted her to leave YG and transfer to Cube instead.

One of the factors was due to BAEMON's rather "flopped" debut with their song, "BATTER UP." When it was released, music fans frowned in disappointment, describing it as "outdated" and "cheap," even calling the group a "knockoff BLACKPINK & 2NE1."

Another reason why fans want her to be in Cube is because of their "special treatment" to its artists, contrary to YG.

Accordingly, both are notorious for artists' "mistreatment," but comparing the two, YG only gives their girl groups like BLACKPINK 1 comeback per year, or worse, none.

As for Cube, they are known for their "princess treatment" especially to their popular artists in the past like HyunA and Soojin. Netizens believe that the label can push Ahyeon more to rise as a top-tier idol, unlike YG.

On the flip side, there are fans who refuted this and conveyed their advice to Ahyeon to run away from the company and never look back.

Ahyeon Sits Out BABYMONSTER Debut Due to Health Issues

On November 15, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER would debut as a six-member group without Ahyeon due to Ahyeon's health problem.

Initially, the company stated that because of personal reasons, she would leave the group and continue being a trainee who might join them again, later on.

But after fans and netizens criticized the company due to sudden news two weeks ahead of their debut, YG made a follow-up report, clarifying that Ahyeon remains as BAEMON's member but she will sit out from the group's debut activities due to her health issues.

As Ahyeon is said to be BABYMONSTER's "Identity" member and "center," there are regrets that they debuted without her. The frustration increased even more after the team failed to impress the music scene with their song, BATTER UP" due to an alleged lack of "key ingredients" such as having a memorable face and presence like Ahyeon.
