EXO Lay 'Misinterprets' Filo Eris & Xbacks in the Most Hilarious Way

EXO Lay's "innocence" made fans laugh, as he often does! In a free fan meeting and music listening party held in Manila, EXO Lay asked his Filipino Eris and Xbacks if they will do THIS as response to their chant.

What was the idol's response?

EXO Lay Sends PHIXOs & Xbacks Into Fits of Laughter After Misinterpreting Chant

On December 4, EXO Lay finally returned to the Philippines, meeting his Filo supporters once again.

In collaboration with Warner Music PH, the K-pop idol-turned-soloist held a free fan meeting and music listening party in Manila, with selected Filo Xbacks and PHIXOs.

The huge crowd of fans enjoyed their time watching Lay's exclusive performances, and were also able to listen to his new songs, "Psychic" and "Step," for the first time.

Although the songs were originally set to be unveiled in the first half of 2024, FIlo Eris and Xbacks were allowed to hear and enjoy them with the artist himself!

During the event, Lay and his supporters also had a good time playing and talking about various topics that they didn't even notice time flew really fast.

As an attempt to extend their moments together, Filipino fans cheered and shouted, "Walang uuwi! Walang uuwi!" (Nobody is going home), repeatedly until it caught Lay's attention.

Looking confused, Lay's interpreter explained that no one would go home unless the fans took photos with him.

Basically, this phrase is often used by Filipinos to express their desire to be with a person and have fun with them longer.

But the turn of events went hilariously wrong when Lay tried to interpret them LITERALLY, then asking:

"We will sleep together?"

Perplexed with the fans' hysterical shouting, Lay looked at the interpreter and innocently explained:

"You said we will not go home?"

Apparently, he meant SLEEPOVER!

But Lay, being the innocent he is, expressed concern to fans and added:

"If you sleep here, the floor is not comfortable."

Upon watching this, fans couldn't help but adore Lay even more due to his genuine reaction, leaving comments such as:

  • "The usual Lay."
  • "He's still the Lay we know even after many years."
  • "It looks like he's willing to have a sleepover with Xingmis."
  • "Our innocent Yixing."
  • "Oh, he meant sleepover. My brain."
  • "He meant overnight haha."

EXO Lay Says 'Yes' to 'Grandline' in the Philippines

As the event went on, fans who were able to attend then settled with seeing him again, but this time, Filo Eris and Xbacks wanted it to be through his solo tour, "Grandline," to meet more fans.

Hearing this, Lay nodded in approval.

"Oh, got it. Our team, did you guys hear about it? We have to bring my whole team to come to the Philippines."

Lay then apologized to Filipino fans for being not able to come to the Philippines in the past but he attested to them that he would try his best.

"Maybe in 2024, I'll make you guys watch Grandline 3, or maybe 4."
