Former T-ARA Areum's Fiancé Tries to Take Own Life After Receiving Hateful Comments

In a recent post of former T-ARA Areum, she expressed her anger to netizens after her current fiancé attempted to make an extreme choice due to the massive hate he got.

Areum Reveals Suicide Attempt of Soon-To-Be Husband Due to Malicious Comments
Areum, who recently revealed her remarriage and divorce at the same time, sniped haters who bombarded them with malicious comments that pushed his current fiancé to try to take his own life.
On December 14, Areum took to Instagram to report the unfortunate status of her fiancé. In a lengthy message, she broke the news of how he attempted to make an extreme choice as a response to hateful comments he was getting.
"Hello, this is Lee Areum. I was just going to stay still. (But) I have come to tell you urgently at this time. First of all, my boyfriend, my oppa, impulsively attempted suicide due to excessive contact and various malicious comments."
Areum went on how she discovered her unconscious fiancé after overdosing on depressive drugs. Fortunately, he was alive but had yet to wake up.
As a response, Areum conveyed her anger to those who attacked her fiancé with negative and malicious comments and said:
"So if (he) dies, I'd like to ask the culprits. I'd like to ask if you feel better now. I'm used to such things, but my oppa, who has been living a good life isn't familiar with this. As I write this with tears in my eyes, my whole body is shaking. "
Areum To Take Stern Legal Actions Against Malicious Commenters
Rather than making more assumptions, Areum pleaded with netizens to just pray for her soon-to-be husband, saying:
"I wanted to be so supportive, but I'm so scared right now that I'm waiting with so much anxiety. Please sincerely apologize to those who did wrong, and I'd appreciate it if many people wished for my oppa to be safe after this time. It's an impulsive act due to sudden stress, but it's human life."
The celebrity also warned those who wrote badly about her fiancé and emphasized that everyone will be punished strongly without leniency.
"Whether my oppa wakes up or not, haters, the one who posted the critical comments, I'll make sure I punish you guys, strongly. Please keep that in mind, pray after this time, and I hope you won't do that again. Thank you very much for reading this long article, and please pray for us one last time."
Earlier, Areum shared her divorce and remarriage at the same time. While a lot of fans sent the couple congratulatory messages, haters started to spread a rumor that Areum's boyfriend has a criminal record of fraud and sexual crimes, calling him "second Jeon Cheong Jo."
The aforementioned criminal was infamous for swindling money from numerous victims, including fencing Olympic medallist Nam Hyun Hee.
Others began to speculate that he might be Areum’s boyfriend and his photos also spread in various online communities under this speculation.
