In a recent video, IVE Rei became a hot topic in an online community for her speculated plastic surgery. In response, fandom DIVEs immediately jumped to her defense.

On December 16, JTBC's "Knowing Bros" released a trailer featuring Starship Entertainment artists. The official report is yet to be released, but based on the clip, a holiday special will be unveiled, along with MONSTA X Shownu, Jeong Sewoon, CRAVITY Hyeongjun and Minhee, as well as IVE Liz, Rei and Leeseo.

IVE Rei Accused of Having Double Eyelid Plastic Surgery

In the video, the Starship family showed their sibling-like chemistry and fans who watched the clip raised high expectations about their wholesome interactions.

Amid the anticipation, IVE Rei suddenly became the talk of the town when an internet user noticed changes in the female idol's face.

In a post, the OP wrote:

"A lot of Starship kids are coming out next week on 'Knowing Bros.' (and) looking at the preview, IVE Rei's double eyelid came out really weird.

What did you do to her charming face? Are you kidding me?

Starship made Bona look old by touching her eyes even when she was so pretty. It is Rei's turn this time?"

Upon publishing the article, it amassed about 240k views and trolls and haters used this opportunity to hate on Rei, saying:

• "She looks so Japanese. How did she become an idol in Korea?"
• "I'm not sure about having surgery, but she looks so ugly she doesn't look like an idol."
• "She wasn't even pretty to begin with."
• "I don't know, but her face looks always swollen and she has this dissatisfied expression. Her expressions are so unpleasant."
• "Whether she had plastic surgery or not, her eyes aren't that good. She has sleepy eyes."

DIVEs Defend IVE Rei From Plastic Surgery Rumor, Insults Over Her Visuals

Amid these insulting comments regarding Rei's recent visuals, the idol's fandom DIVEs were quick to defend the idol and refuted the speculations.

First, fans emphasized that Rei has had double eyelids since she was a child and looking at the video, she looks the same.

• "She's just the same as when she just debuted, so what are you talking about?"
• "She has it even before her debut."
• "IVE Rei had double eyelids since she was a baby."
• "It's her natural face."

DIVEs also counterattacked the OP by calling them out, commenting:

• "If you talk about female idols getting plastic surgery, does your fcking self-esteem go up a little bit?"
• "Don't touch Rei."
• "Her eyes always look like that, it's obvious you're not a fan, are you?"
