Girls' Generation & SHINee Met at the 2023 MBC Gayo Daejejeon Stage
On December 31, 2023, the 2023 MBC Gayo Daejejeon was held in Seoul, South Korea. There, Girls' Generation's Yoona held the event for the eighth year in a row. Several artists were in attendance, including co-SM Entertainment idols SHINee.

At one point, Yoona and SHINee's Taemin appeared on the stage together.
During the event, there was a portion where all the idols stood together on stage. Taemin had to use the restroom, so he joined the other idols late. Despite Key trying to stop him, the male idol still tried to greet Yoona.

Taemin, SHINee's adorable youngest maknae, has always considered Yoona as much more than a sunbae (senior); he considers her an older sister. This was on full display when he tried to catch her attention by calling out, "Noona!"

Though Yoona did not hear him at once, she eventually did notice Taemin. She returned his greeting and smiled happily, and the two shared a few words.

Taemin happily calling Yoona "noona" has been captured by several fans in attendance. The adorable moment has gone viral across various social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter).
The interaction has since become a meme, with people saying they are total friendship goals. Others fawned over Taemin's cute distraction.
