In a broadcast, TWICE Jihyo confessed that she personally asked for THIS junior's phone number with the desire to befriend her.
On January 26, the 530th episode of MBC's entertainment program, "I Live Alone," was aired featuring Kim Dae Ho, Kian84 and Lee Jangwoo as well as TWICE's Jihyo, Kim Sejeong and Kim Nayoung.
On this day, Jihyo, TWICE's leader revealed the special story of how she became a close friend of her junior idol, Kim Sejeong, a former I.O.I and Gugudan member.

In the episode, Jihyo, Kim Sejeong and Kim Nayoung showed off incredible friendship as the TWICE member invited them to her house for a New Year's party. They especially prepared rice cake soup to welcome the year and wore pretty hanboks.
Seeing Kim Sejeong and Nayoung, viewers and the studio hosts showed curiosity about their close friendship with Jihyo.
In light of this, the TWICE member confessed that she actually made the first move to become friends with her junior, Kim Sejeong.
"(I saw Sejeong on TV) and her personality seemed to match mine very well. I really wanted to get close to her after seeing her easy-going personality. I happened to know Chung Ha's number, so I asked her to give me Sejeong's number. Then I did it."
With Jihyo's "proactive" personality, she personally contacted Sejeong and after meeting each other, they became a close friend. Eventually, she also became friends with singer Kim Nayoung, who was also a best friend of Sejeong.

TWICE to Release New English Song 'I Got You' in February
On the other hand, TWICE, the group to which Jihyo belongs is embarking on its new release.
Earlier, the members' concept photos were unveiled, ahead of its comeback with a pre-release single, "I Got You" on February 2.
"I Got You" is TWICE's new original English track succeeding "The Feels" and "MOONLIGHT SUNRISE," which have consecutively charted on the U.S. Billboard main chart, "Hot 100."

Through this song, it will depict the long-standing friendship and love that the nine members have built over time. The ambient sound and vocal harmony along with the simple drum pattern are the main points to appreciate as well.
Following this release, their 13th mini-album, "With YOU-th," will be officially dropped on February 23 at 2 p.m. ET and will be available on various music charts.
The new mini album "With YOU-th" is the first album to be released as a whole group of TWICE in about a year since their 12th mini album "READY TO BE" in March last year.
With their previous album "READY TO BE," they are expected to accelerate their activities in 2024 and solidify their status as one of"the best girl groups in the world" by performing in major global charts including Billboard's main chart and the fifth world tour of the same name.
