In an online community and SNS, BIGBANG Daesung raised brows after naming 2NE1 as the group with the lowest contribution in YG Entertainment. VIPs have since defended the male icon.

On February 10, the YouTube web segment, "Narak Quiz Show," was posted on Psick Univ, which featured the K-pop idol as its guest.

There, the idol answered various questions asked to him and showed signs of embarrassment after mentioning 2NE1 and former co-member Seungri.

Daesung Slammed After Saying 2NE1 Has Lowest Contribution Among YG Artists

At the beginning of the quiz show, Daesung showed nervousness as he was asked an indirect question related to G-Dragon's false illegal drug use accusations.

The MCs made him flustered even more when asked where should G-Dragon promote his next album, mentioning Cambodia as an example.

In particular, Daesung had cold sweat as it was a reference to former BIGBANG Seungri shouting that he would bring GD into the country at a recent Cambodian event.

As if the questions about his co-members weren't enough, MC Kim Min Soo also asked about other artists from his former label, YG Entertainment.

This time, Daesung had to list YG artists who contributed the most to the growth of the nation's four major entertainment labels (HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG), in order.

As a response, he listed them as follows: Teddy-Jinusean, BLACKPINK, and 2NE1, the last group having least contribution.

When asked which member among 2NE1 would be fine if she's excluded from the lineup, Daesung chose Gong Minzy and immediately regretted his decision, apologizing:

"Minzy, I'm so sorry, Oppa didn't know you would come out here."

As of February 12, the segment has now over 1.4 million views, drawing mixed reactions from K-pop fans.

BLACKJACKs, 2NE1 fandom, felt upset by the "BANG BANG BANG" singer's answer.

• "Aren't 2NE1 members good enough?"
• "Why are you bringing up 2NE1 when you can't even bring up BIGBANG?"
• "What crime did 2NE1 do for you to do them this dirty."
• "Gong Minzy must be really upset."

VIPs Defend BIGBANG Daesung

Amid the ire, VIPs jumped to the idol's defense, explaining the nature of the show. "The Narak Quiz Show" is content that humorously shows MCs asking controversial questions to guests and suffering in an environment where guests have no choice but to answer.

Thus, the quiz show is not personal, and most answers are chosen due to pressure.

• "But the whole point of the show is to showcase how the 'cancel culture' works, right?"
• "This is the whole point of the show, please don't leave hate comments in vain."
